When was the last time you saw Idra trashtalk on live television? He won't cuz he's scared of real peoples. On the Internet, you can hide behind your computer. Nobody's gonna hurt him through the computer. Yeah, I said it. Idra's not mature. He's a wuss.
And here you are trash talking Idra from behind a computer. The irony.

Yeah if Tasteless and Artosis were casting the Idra Chickencombo match all you would have heard for 3 minutes since the *expletive* began building was + Show Spoiler + BATTLECRUISER CATTLEBRUISER etc

I much prefer the casting archon, but I guess things haven't been going too badly. I would put Jason Lee and IdrA doing quite well, Jason and Jorgen at not bad, and Jason and Assem as less than entertaining.
IdrA offers great insight on timings, builds, and just basically what should work and what won't. Jorgen seems to be a very aggressive player, because I've caught him in several situations saying over and over "he has to attack right now" when maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea, but overall I think he knows a lot about the game as well. Assem and Jason honestly don't add a ridiculous amount of insight to the game though, and they tend to just say what's happening with very little analysis. Although I prefer that to just making shit up as filler though.
I think a lot of that has to do with them not actually controlling the camera though, which means they are pretty much part of the audience with no way to check on things that they are saying. This isn't to say that I haven't enjoyed the past few games, because I definitely have. These are just my opinions on where there are some flaws.
I can't wait to have my Tastosis back though.

I like Jason just for his professionalism. It is a nice change from the Tastosis never ending bromance. He is admittedly not very familiar with StarCraft 2 but seems to care enough to put in the effort to get things right and be professional, unlike Tastosis attempting to cast War3/CS and just not giving a fuck and talking about god knows what. Jason is a very good host, very good at asking the analytical person the right questions, and good at calling the action packed parts. Much respect to Jason.
Grack did great, I'd like him even more if he threw in some of his epic quotes. ^^
Assem is an Artosis Jr. "ROFLstomped" "wiggly and jiggly" and similar phrases are something that I personally don't like and don't feel like they belong when broadcasting a professional sports tournament. Even if it is ESPORTS.
Jorgen had good things to say, but speaks a bit too softly and isn't the best English speaker.

I have to agree with this post. When I heard the ROFLstomped yesterday I didn't know what to think. I don't think even Artosis would say that one and if he said it he would be laughing about it with Tasteless. Assem said it pretty much entirely seriously which makes me think it's actually a part of his vocabulary.
Other than that though I thought the casting was acceptable. Unfortunately it can be a bit annoying when the casters aren't very familiar with the game but as you mentionned at least they are trying their best. IdrA was a great fit I think because he would actually give correct information while Jason Lee took care of talking non-stop to fill the void.

The professionalism is very welcomed by me and Jason Lee is a very good speaker with good flow. Artosis and Tasteless sometimes they have no flow when speaking or speaking over another. They tend to get off on a tangent and give too much of their opinion and a lot of times lose a lot of face.

Xeqtr, my old sc1 team8

Jason Lee keeps pronouncing "Shakuras" as "Shakira's".
Apparently she owns a plateau..

I must say that Assem and Jason Lee are doing a great job for replacements, IdrA and XeqtR also did a good job.

what about "Centuries" instead of "sentry's"
i realy liked it when idra was casting he gave some realy great insight. The other casters are pretty bad and make some realy weird calls.
edit: dont know about Jorgen though havnt realy seen him cast

even though I'm really glad Tastosis will be back on monday, I must say that the guest casters did a fairly good job considering the situation.
So, respect to Jason, Assem, and XeqtR ... and Grack!

Woah Woah Woah Hold on there. They're all horrible. Only IdrA knows anything about the game I would much prefer him solo than any mixture of the other 3. Thank god tastosis or w/e is back for the next batch of RO32. Thank GOD

tasteless and artosis mock parts of the GSL such as calling it street fighter voice.. jason lee needs to learn starcraft 2 before casting any more games, but his interviews are good with his follow up questions.. Assem is very smart and does not try to sugar coat things such as "HE JUST BROUGHT HIMSELF INTO THE GAME WITH THAT ATTACK!" he just needs to be more interesting.
Tasteless and Artosis say a LOT of things such as HE MIGHT VERY WELL WIN THE GAME RIGHT HERE or predict future happenings even though a majority of the time they get their predictions wrong
I did not see idra or jorgen cast

One could even say that this could have been the reason Artosis didn't perform too well in GSL. Who knows how well he could have done if he had all his time to invest in practicing rather than casting.. He's a damn clever player and strategist, and mostly just lacks that perfect execution. Not many zergs made it far in GSL1 anyhow, so I guess you can't hold him to too high of a standard.
I'll have to agree there, if Artosis had more practice time i'm sure he would have gotten further!

I took the "wiggly and jiggly" as an imitating artosis to make fun of him type of thing.

If all people did that as well as being interested in the truth then you would see them talk pretty much the same.
I think he's a good guy with respect for the game and industry around it and he simply can't stand seeing people blather on about things they know nothing about or don't want to know the truth about.
I find it bizarre that so many people misunderstand it and all they manage to see is "rage" "BM" and so on.
People try to act nice even when it's not what they're thinking and not what they really care about. He says what's on his mind, I find it much better. Honesty beats fake-nice.

I also have to say, that Lee guy was SOOOO awful. All that fake enthusiasm just hurt my ears because when he hits those high notes, they are REALLY annoyingly high. It's like "OMG OMG, it's happening, really happening... Yes, he built a supply depot!"

I would have wanted to hear idra talk way more, instead of being supressed by a guy who doesnt know what hes talking about
