Today unfortunately we have to say goodbye to our Danish Counter-Strike: Global Offensive lineup. The players have decided not to renew their contracts at the end of the month and will be joining Team SoloMid from February 1st. We have nothing but great things to say and would like to thank the squad for their services during their time in Team Dignitas. We wish them all the best in their future careers. For us this means having to move on and we're excited to announce our new CS:GO roster shortly. Source: http://team-dignitas.net/articles/news/CSGO/6531/CSGO-squad-move-on
With MLG Aspen now behind them, Team Dignitas' squad gets picked up by TeamSoloMid.
TeamSoloMid's roster is now:
Finn 'karrigan' Andersen Andreas 'Xyp9x' Højsleth Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen Nicolai "device" Reedtz René 'cajunb' Borg
That was fast. I wonder how long it was in the works for.
Deponeret to Team Dignitas?

I don't think they will. NA scene is a lot weaker in player skill and pool. Also they have lower travelling expenses if they stay in Europe.
No need to move to America to get good RoI. The only American company sponsoring is IBP, the rest are global companies.

if nip really make less than $36,000/year thats insulting Although they do win enough prizemoney to make up for it which isn't quite so certain for Dignitas/TSM lol
|
Well, the deal has other significant perks than just the base rate of $3k/month. Higher CPM rate on Twitch can be very significant, as is 100% of sticker money. And they don't share any of their prize money with the TSM org. Add that all together, as the article says, and this deal may likely be the best one out there.
|
I mean, the sticker money is worth more than the contract by quite a bit so no team in their right minds will sign a contract with any substantial amount of sticker money skimming. Last year sure when teams didn't know better. Not now.
CPM is nice but i wasn't aware that any of dignitas were big streamers.
and to me there's a difference between prize/sticker money and "pay" which is salary. And since dignitas can't possibly have won more prize money than other big teams, its obvious that that is what is meant by "highest paid". Which means that either RL is full of shit or else all the other team's contracts are insulting since they are all worth more than Dignitas lol. Although I think TSM picking up a good EU squad is probably smarter than say Liquid picking up a meh NA squad (although rapidly climbing by NA standards as all the other NA teams get banned for matchfixing rofl).

How much money does one team get from the stickers from a major?
|
according to the article on daily dot, "up to $400,000" if they are in the "legends" group (for katowice thats Fnatic, HellRaisers, Navi, NiP, Penta, TSM, LDLC, Virtus.Pro) basically the direct invites
|
Wow, just that alone makes it worth getting to the tournament. I wonder how much the other 8 teams can get, since they are the less popular/good teams.
|
Now they just gotta not regress after getting paid, that would be good. I'm usually against paying pro-players straight up money since they can (and will) regress/be stagnant after getting paid. Contracts should be half guaranteed money, half incentives for doing well. But Regi knows best i guess.
