SK, VP, astralis and fnatic are probably going to be the top 4. I agree with G2. They can swap players around all they want but what they need IMO is some new up and coming IGL like when Happy broke through or now with Gla1ve. Real IGLs that makes or breaks teams are hard to come by though.

Tricked Jugi gets benched for the next 11 months: Heroic wanted to buy this awping talent out of Tricked, but they could not find a line for the buyout. So Heroic passed Tricked and negotiated a direct deal with Jugi and Jugi signed a contract to play for Heroic starting 1/1/2018. Tricked got wind of this and is not willing to let Jugi play any matches till 31st of December 2017 (end of contract day). Tricked now has a benched talent they have to pay, heroic is has a signed awper in 11 months, but needs to fill the spot (or play with Cadian for 11 month) and Jugi sits on the bench, impossible to play matches or even train with a team (Tricked will sign a new AWPer within 2 weeks) and on top, he might even get ditched by Heroic, if they find a better person for the vacant AWP position. Then aizy leaves FaZe and joins North, while Rubino leaves North. It was said "per sources" that scream would join FaZe, while now Envyus has signed Scream officially and benched their very resent pickup devoduvek. FaZe is now left with a vacant position and uses jkaem as the standin Jkaem, but jkaem is still in the process of building a new team with Fox, Maikelelele and rumored Rubino. Oh, and Devil build a new french talent team with the LDLC leftovers from the days, when LDLC dropped their two smaller french teams and created the Ex6 team. http://www.hltv.org/news/19817-heroic-tricked-in-conflict-over-jugi http://www.hltv.org/news/19815-aizy-set-to-leave-faze http://www.hltv.org/news/19812-official-north-sign-aizy http://www.hltv.org/news/19820-scream-to-join-envyus http://www.hltv.org/news/19813-devil-assembles-new-team

For me the French shuffle is meh, same players different combinations. It was kinda obvious the players left out would try to make another team (and that most likely EnvyUs would pick them up). LDLC and Devil's team aren't relevant to top tier cs (and will most likely remain this way) Fnatic - Godsent swap seems like a soap-opera ("oh no, I actually loved you all along but it was your twin brother that got me pregnant so I had to go away...." :/ ) don't think they've fixed what was actually going wrong. The Tricked - Heroic - Jugi thing is just stupid, seems everyone acted like idiots, not much to discuss What I actually wanted to delve into more was the Liquid - Optic move, not because this is the TL site but because, I feel, it has the potential of making a big impact on the NA scene. Most people kinda went "meh" at the news so I didn't push it

Link to what? A french guy talkign about a french team is obviously using euros. And besides, that's the normal wage for tier 1 teams. North got 20K euro. VP 25K. We have seen a 100% annual wage increase over the past 2 years. (Last year Astralis topped at 10K Euro/month).

If you haven't followed the growth rate of salaries over time, it definitely appears high, but that is what they are getting paid today. There is some type of lag-effect between salaries and the growth-rate of a game. Its the growth rate of CS:GO in 2015 that is impacting salaries today. So even though CSGO didn't grow in terms of viewership in 2016, organisations have more money now which allows them to pay higher salaries.

It has been rumored for months that a buyout for NiKo extended into the $1 million range, though the details for this agreement are not known. FaZe use Niko's buyout clause to get the star player after aizy went to north. FaZe look scary while mousesports are on lifesupport.

Mouz and Faze made a deal after the major, when Niko asked mouz to go. Personal guess of mine is a buyout of arround 250k. They only say "one of the biggest deal in history of esports", maybe we get a leak of that number. Mouz has a problem, they have to keep Denis, spidii and lowel or they fall from next major qualifier to eu minor, which is stacked as fuck... But they should have the money to build a strong team.

We'll finally know if that's a champion in the making or if he was a big fish in a small pond.
