https://m.facebook.com/g5taz/posts/1951438848203107 Taz statement As of today I will no longer be playing for Virtus.pro lineup. The team decided that I don't fit in their plans, and I only respect that and want to wish them best of luck in the future! I feel that it is a change for best, for both parties. Changes are needed in life, and I'm looking forward to challenges ahead of me. This is not the last you hear of me. I never had problems with motivation, but I can tell you now - I'm more happy and motivated than ever!

And it also makes more sense to try and reward your own talents. With that said, it is also a lost opportunity for North to get a roster than paper could be really dangerous. The current North roster doesn't look very strong. I also think contrasting Jugi (from year ago) with Mertz today is somewhat deceiving. Because Jugi's numbers were significantly better than Mertz. Mertz is merely a good tier 3 AWPer whereas Jugi was by far the best player in that tier before he acquired by Heroic. For astralis, if you can get K0nfig for the same price you probably take him. Though I think astralis should attempt to try out both players for a few days. It does count against K0nfig that he has been quite bad over the past few months and being benched for attitude reasons isn't ideal either. However, for the first 9 months of 2017 he was a top 10 player in the world. A problem for the Danish scene was that the talent development wasn't as rapid in 2017 as it was in 2016. Niko and Es3tag both looked they could be the new K0nfig and Magisk, however I honestly think they are worse (relatively) today than they were 1 year ago. Instead Snappi has actually improved his fragging to compensate. ANJ also looked very strong early 2017 but it seemed like he was too reliant on the system used in the old Singularity. Instead I think the scene got slightly more depth at the lower tier with the prime example being Fragsters being tied for 1st in ESEA in the regular season

Both astralis and heroic are being owned by rfrsh. k0nfig looks like a better fit tho. im sure he will find his rhythm again. it's not free exactly though. Astralis gets one player and heroic losses their best player and thus needs to replace him. Most likely cajunb who they then needs to be bought out. And while cajunb is a decent player he is definitely a level or two below the form that jugi has shown over the past few months. Another problem is that they don't really have time to try out jugi before roster lock due to summit. So it's much more likely it's k0nfig. Cajunb is probably cheaper to buy out than k0nfig though.

They promoted hAdji to the main roster. It's actually a cool move. hAdji is actually a consistent player from the tier 2, he's been really good across multiple squads, and I think it's time he gets tested at a higher level. I don't know why they would try to get Ex6 though. It's not like Happy looks like he'll give up on the lead, and Ex6 is not valuable enough right now to just be a rifler. Long term maybe, but then does Ex6 even want to play under Happy's lead?

Sure but i think it still would be cheaper for rfrsh. Heroic could find another talent like niko from lower tier Danish teams at worst. Sure but i think it still would be cheaper for rfrsh. Heroic could find another talent like niko from lower tier Danish teams at worst. But the thing is that RFRSH's goal isn't to "fuck" over Heroic. Heroic has its own goal (to establsh it self in the top 10). So a trade has to be mutual beneficial. So you can't compare North academy fostering talents to North to heroic fostering talents to Astralis. Removing jugi from heroic and replacing him with an average tier 3 talent would put Heroic down from #15 in the world to outside top #20. That's not ideal.

Then they can later replace Happy with ZywoO :< Honestly, Ex6 doesn't have much for him as an IGL than his past. Granted, he still got some fire in him. And he's a capable leader as of now to some extent. But he's had very good talents in LDLC (compared to the tier they were evolving in) and it has stagnated for over a year now. Moreover, the fact that he's been kicked by the rest of the team isn't a nice tale for an in-game leader and doesn't add credit to his skill as to leading a team. You could argue they're dumb for kicking him and that they didn't understand his value or something. But it's the second time in a row that Ex6 is kicked from his team. At this point I'm not sure the best french players (counting down to tier 2/3) even want to play with him anymore. In my opinion, the Ex6 hype is largely due to his name, not to his worth as an IGL now. What's an IGL worth if people don't want to be lead by that guy? Something interesting for example is that for all the bad press Happy gets (and in my opinion he deserves a bit of that, though not all of it), he's still leading the second best french team. Not Ex6. Happy got to build a team and pick his players once the "super team" had finished its groceries last year. Not Ex6. Fortunately for Ex6, he'll always have Thorin behind him. But Thorin doesn't build teams, and doesn't play. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Regarding Ex6tenz, even if he was the biggest genius in terms of tactics and strategy, if you can't find a way of working together with the team to implement your ideas, have their trust and support, it means shit. He's been in LDLC trying to make a competitive team for like 2 years now? If you can't figure out how to make it work by changing players or the system, maybe let someone else have a try. About Happy leading the second best Fr team... I don't think that's interesting, for me it just shows that Envyus can spend more than LDLC (and maybe people don't want to play with Ex6). He deserves quite a bit of flak for his inability to change and adapt. When every team knows how you play on T side, you're basically starting with a disadvantage. Whenever I see him in a game he looks so defeated and lost, it's like someone is killing kittens right in from of him.

2 benched north players 1 north academy player ShaZam Stanislaw. I would widly guess, that they planned with Magisk to have a solid danish core. Buyoutmoney was too strong.

I guess Magisk really wanted to join Astralis and/or perhaps didn't want to play with K0nfig or Cajunb. Because the Gade signing does seem really random. Something of a last-minute plan C option since Maelk obviously had the contact. However, there are tons of better tier 2 European players who probably would be willing to join the team if Optic had performed better scouting. I also don't know why they had to get rid of HS? HS is definitely better than Gade so that somehow indicates that Magisk originally was going to stay in the team and thus they let HS go to renegades.

I see a lot of comments mentioning it. Renegades just announced the jkaem will stand in for them. Also, Logan joining LDLC. Does anyone know him? Is he a promising talent?
