E-League announces their schedule for the first season which will start May 24 and end on July 30.
ELEAGUE, the professional eSports league established in partnership between Turner and WME | IMG, will make its debut Tuesday, May 24, with live event coverage featuring Valve’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive from Turner Studios in Atlanta. Tournament coverage, spanning a 10-week period, will include a six-week regular season (followed by a bye week), a one-week last chance qualifier round, and two weeks of playoffs culminating with the Semifinals on Friday, July 29, at 10 p.m. ET and Global Championship (best of three match) on Saturday, July 30, at 4 p.m.
Each week, ELEAGUE will feature extensive live event coverage across digital platforms – Tuesday through Thursday from 12-7 p.m. ET, through the quarterfinal round – and a three-hour Friday night showcase via TBS (and digital platforms) beginning at 10 p.m.
Additional information on the inaugural ELEAGUE tournament will be announced leading up to the event.

I'm really interested in the teams that will participate. Has this been announced? (Except OG)

They need to announce the teams! But it's pretty far away, so I doubt very many teams are finalized.

he's arguing that they deserve it based on results

They have at least a text for SK Gaming... but seriously, without LG/Envy/NaVi/Fnatic/Astralis, this League gonna be a gigantic hype bubble...

Considering that it's being produced from Atlanta, I think it's unlikely that any of those European teams to commit to it. It's also not a hype bubble, because this is not news, and nowhere have any of those teams been associated with the E-League. LG has the highest likelihood of being in the league, and it'll be a boon if they do.
If people want to be disappointed when a mostly North American line-up is announced, that's their prerogative. I'd rather choose to be excited for North American Counter-Strike to see how these newly formed line-ups shape out over the year against each other.

Echo Fox will be one of the teams. You know, sgares new team. Rick Fox said so when he announced the team. And there are rumors in the German scene that mouz will participate, too. Don't know much else.

All the teams on that page have established relationships with WME|IMG, it is quite likely they will indeed be participating. We also know Echo Fox will be in, and can assume NRG are in for the same reason.

So we got all teams:
Astralis Cloud9 CLG compLexity dignitas Echo Fox EnVyUs FaZe FlipSid3 fnatic Gambit G2 Liquid Luminosity mousesports Natus Vincere NiP NRG OpTic Renegades SK TSM Virtus.pro TyLoo
So we got all top teams, or? Fnatic, NiP, LG, NaVi, Astralis Also all 2nd tier teams: VP, Envy, Dignitas, Mouz, G2, FaZe, Liquid(T2?) Rest EU/CIS F3, Gambit,SK
Furthermore the Top of NA: Liquid, NRG, Optic, CLG, C9 And the rest of NA Renegades, compLexity, Echo Fox, TSM
And the supreme ruler of all: TyLoo
Sick Lineup, will all of these teams stay in Atlanta for the time of league? Is this a 24-Teams Round Robin League still? Stick city... other leagues can play their events without problems if so, as practically all teams of FaceIT/Twitch and ESL Pro League are then on NA soil.
If I had a NA team, I would force my team to bootcamp the complete 6 weeks and play as many training games with the EU teams as possible. One time chance to improve massive.
