Gambit won their major due to incredible play from Adren, Hobbit and Mou, the Zeus mastermind-meme is made by casters and solely for entertainment. Not saying he didn't contribute or he is a bad IGL, but it wasn't Zeus who gifted them their major title. Stop taking away from their achievement, focus your imagination on twisting why your beloved mastermindgod played so awfully this tourney and why his team is out despite his superior leadership. Don't try to put the person you adore above others by trying to drag them down...

But that wouldn't had work without AdreN, H0bbit and Mou (in that Overpass game) going full robot. If you don't hit your shots tactics can only get you so long

They are fine as it stands since they have a solid structure but once the problems kick in along with the new update/meta/maps , we will see what Gambit made of. Still think they wont keep that legends spot at next major Again, I didn’t mean said that Zeus didn't contribute to anything just that this meme was blown way out of proportion. Gambit was improving before he got there, those CIS teams with some exceptions are just seen in too few non-CIS tourneys so it is hard to keep track of them. That they might be less successful later on is also a pretty bad argument, look at the scene right now. We experience upsets and huge shifts at almost every big event right now, saying they won't keep their legend spot (what that is supposed to mean I am unsure anyways... winning the next major / being finalist?) is probably like saying I think it’s going to rain within the next week: Not a very bold nor meaningful prediction, the competition is just too tough at the moment. It is also hard to give Zeus that amount of credit (again, it is not hard to give him credit, but keep it realistic) when NaVi with him wasn't really successful, no matter the players. Listen, I like Zeus too. Just because he is from 1.6 NaVi I will probably overrate him a bit but then I look at the results and well... even with my nostalgia for him and NaVi I can't really defend it. And you can't deny that the Zeus mastermind and "his" major storyline got heavily pushed because that’s how you can make sports more exciting. And it is fine to some extend but when Zeus winning a major is such a focus that it diminishes the work of the rest of the team, that’s just feels wrong to me. I don't really care about Gambit, in case you mistake me for a fanboy, I didn't really had them on my radar and only started to look in to them because how they played at the major. Instead of getting with the hype I rather checked them out myself and watched some games from before the major and Zeus because they really impressed me on an individual level. I will admit that I can't really tell how much Gambit developed in terms of strategy and team cohesion since I only looked at their history close before their major and didn’t went full analyst so I won't deny improvements through Zeus that might still be relevant, but it is also impossible to deny that they were already improving greatly before he joined. It is okay to like different things / players, just don't be a dick about it

Sorry, I didn't clarify. They weren’t noticeable successful in GO under Zeus, not counting 1.6 which is a different game. Not being successful is also maybe a bit harsh since major titles aren’t everything but in comparison to other teams that are generally considered successful, they mostly fall short or feed of wins from the earlier days of GO when the scene was less competitive then now. They are also a CIS team that we see regularly in EU / NA competition, so the excuse of their results just being lesser known other teams of that region can use doesn’t really apply to them. The not being a dick part was more generally addressed since we had a few HLTV-level postings/signatures in the last major thread, though answering a proper post with just a yawn emote doesn’t seem all that nice, just like calling IGLs a waste. Plus throwing out baseless accusations like lack of tactical depth. Now I can add telling people they need to go more out because you disagree with them and answers like "not going to answer" while in the same sentence saying what was said was wrong. "Lol your wrong, I am not telling you where though, that would require me to engage in an actual discussion". And since we are already offtopic, going out more often seems to be the last thing I would have to do, if my perception of NaVi is so wrong, I should rather stay inside and watch them, right?

In GO I would probably even argue about best IGL of all times. I also conceded that they might fail to deliver similar results in the near future because of the state of the competition and it is also hardly a great argument. As a fan of Virtus.pro, I know too much about upset in both directions for that . Again, I don’t really care about Gambit, I just don’t like when stupid hype takes away well deserved credit. And parroting casters is generally a bad idea, I feel like GO is much worse than SC2 in that regard. You once again didn't really address anything I said with proper arguments, so unfortunately I guess we are done here. EDIT: What a crazy game : D
