3 hours of rifting with friends yesterday netted us 8! pieces of Blackthorne. Everyone found at least one piece, one friend found two and the unluckiest found 4! pieces. It's disheartening every time seeing that green beam and hoping for a class set item, just to be spoiled by the icon being Blackthorne.... honestly I wish we could salvage items before identifying them.

(around 630k unbuffed dmg (+52% cld skill dmg +15% arcane orb dmg), 5mil toughness unbuffed) (profile) I picked up slorak's yesterday, so probably going to transition to arcane disintegrate wizard. What are some of the BiS gear I should be looking for in Kadala's or crafting? andy's, triumvirate, new bracers, ammy with arcane dmg for starters.

It's hard enough to find trifecta lol. Also, how important is Arcane on Crit in Disintegrate build? How important is AS?

Also, how important is Arcane on Crit in Disintegrate build? How important is AS? tell me about it. i still havent upgraded my amulet. finding slorak's with a good roll has been a bitch as well. here is my shitty character: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/dAPhREAk-1843/hero/3929813 apoc is a must i would say since you want to keep channeling and with fast rifts, you run out of ap fast. you want to use an ap generator as little as possible. AS is not important since it will just deplete your ap faster. focus should be CC/CHD/arcane dmg/CDR. its not bad to have AS, but it shouldnt take the slot of the more important four. the way i play the build is disint for trash and then pop archon for all elites (or heavy, dangerous trash packs). CDR is important to make sure you can always pop archon. with 100 sec rune, 20% CDR passive, diamond in helm and a few CDR in armor, you can get it down relatively low. it sucks for low level runs (i.e, where everyone is running around like chickens with their heads off), but is great for high level runs because it is available so much.

Edit: Wow just found out that certain things only drop from caches from certain acts. I am such a noob lol, my poor templar trying to gear her up will probably take forever.

The problem I have with the drop rate changes is that it hits normal split cache farming really hard. I used to be able to get tons of legs just doing split farming, and 1 shotting-elites. Now I'm lucky to get 2 rares off elite mob. At this point I've given up split farming (which was probably the best way to gear new level 70's to do torment plus stuff). The problem was the drop rate increase in rift is that it doesn't fix the fact that low density rift maps still exist. I would have been just as happy with rift drop rates if they doubled or tripled density for the low density rift maps.

But now I'm not sure if elite packs are still worth doing. It was optimal for gearing non torment ready characters. And tbh nerfing it means it would take forever to get a character torment ready. The reason it's so effective is because hard to master is not rewarding to do. When you progress with character you want gear not increased xp or gold. Increased xp and gold only important once you already have the initial softwall of gear.

Here's the hotfix. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/12471197317 Looks like it's 'uniques' not elites. Eitherway cache farming in normal has dropped considerably less legs for me.

I would expect that on some level they want people to be Rifting on non-Torment difficulties.
