Profile. I have 700k sheet dps, 6M toughness unbuffed, and run disintegrate build with around +50% arcane damage and +50% disintegrate damage. I can clear T2 decently, but have to kite on occasions when I meet double packs, or specially mean elites. I die every now and then, but not frequently. (Yes it is my own fault every time I die, and every death could have been avoided with more careful play, but that is what you get when you push the speed limit.)
But I am still getting a lot more legendaries per hour on T1. It's not even close. On T1 I can run with wormhole and evocation, and the new 3 second break before I need to do the second teleport is just enough time to kill a smaller group of mobs on T1. Also I essentially never die (despite not holding back at all in terms of speed), so the exp bonus is always there. Despite 15% more legendaries on T2, I get a lot more drops per hour on T1.
So while my stats are enough to do decent T2 runs, in terms of efficiency I am still a far way away from moving to T2.
Maybe it is different with other builds though, what do I know?
Edit: Took stats from in game, bnet stats are not really accurate for some reason.

Profile DPS is not very useful unless you have no elemetal dmg gear. You will need at least over 1m elemental dps for efficiency, you can check what you have on diabloprogress. I wouldnt worry about toughness unless you are in HC. 3-5m pre buff should be more than enough for low torment farming.

I think there are some unintended bugs with Vyr's full set bonus. Hopefully they will be fixed soon. My archon shoots different colored beams, sometimes red, sometimes purple. I'm still trying to figure out what kind of dmg it's actually dealing.

mine always shoots fire, its supposed to be the one with the highest elemental damage, if u have 2 that are tied or they're all at 0, i guess its random.
Also what passives should i be running for mm/archon on t5/t6? blur and evocation are given of course.

I am trying to decide what to gamble on. profile. I have been gambling for head lately, solely based on that being the only spot where I have a rare, but not even sure what I am hoping for, more than a unique with the same stats...
But not really sure what I am going for in general. Some advice on where to bring my arcane build? I have been regarding vyrs 4-piece as the holy grail, but I I am starting to doubt a bit exactly how much of a difference that all-rune archon actually does. Or maybe I am growing bitter and have vyr-envy?
And on another note, I just found my (awesome) moonlight ward, but I can't get the charges to explode a lot. Is there a trick? Anyone know exactly what triggers the charges to explode?

Assuming you want to stay Disint/Arcane Wiz because of your Moonlight, Strongarm Bracers, and Slorak's...
Helm should be what you should gamble first, looking for Andy's. Get Arcane%, CC, socket. Enchant out the AS if possible, it drains your AP faster.
Craft Aughild's, Shoulders/Chest. That leaves Gloves, Pants, Boots for Vyr's. Then RoRG to round off all the set bonuses. Harrington's for Belt.

I think my wiz is nearing completion now. I'm debating quitting Wiz entirely and just playing my WD, because AFAIK, the only meaningful upgrades for my build now are a TF or an absorb amulet (both of which can drop for WD). Am I forgetting anything else?

That weapon is pretty garbage, but TF is probably not worth farming on the wiz since you can get it by playing as wd anyway. You can get marginally better gear by dropping some of the AR in some of your slots, they don't really do much for int chars.

IMO you should gamble for source first, because almost any leg would upgrade. Takes 333 shards on average for 1 leg. Aim for a good triumvate if you want to keep arcane. helm can be crafted if you are going arcane. aughild helm/shoulder should be easy to farm (like under 1 hour of play for both).
After source, your options are chest/gloves/legs/boots, since you need vyrs set eventually.
I would gamble gloves next because of the high drop rates. Magefist can give you a good upgrade (even for arcane) due to its 5 primaries, and it's nice to have the option to switch to fire. They drop every ~1400 shards which is close to the highest drop rate for any item from kadala
