At max level, an int gem is 36% the resist of a AR gem. Considering that 280 int, even at max level is ~3-4% DPS, there's no reason to gem AR on an int class unless you're playing HC and need all the survivability you can get. You can get roughly the same value as an all resist affix, while simultaneously adding 840int.

Can you reroll cc when you got cd? I've blown millions trying and I'm starting to feel you can't have that much bad luck. Also, yesterday I noticed I had +42% movement speed -__-

You can get roughly the same value as an all resist affix, while simultaneously adding 840int. That depends on the viewpoint. Diamond gives you 78 AR which is 78% of what you can get with the same affix on body armor. Topaz gives you 280 int which is 56% of what you can get with the same affix on body armor. It's even more pronounced in damage slots (where you can have 750 maximum mainstat compared to 500), but gems are not worth it in them since only one socket. Assuming you need both stats equally (this assumpion is key here, in other words, if you seek to maximize your "power" which is toughness * DPS), diamonds are better since they "free up" more stats/affixes on other pieces of gear to swap for damage. People on SC though seek to maximize their DPS while keeping an acceptable level of toughness, so mainstat gems might actually be worthwhile that way.

Once I got my Mirrorball I switched to pure Fire damage and I'm blazing through everything. http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Thez-1901/hero/114546

I am sitting on 260 paragon lvls atm, and find diamond a lot less efficient than topaz. For my barb diamond completely trumps ruby though.

Agreed. The way generators and spenders are now, a good spender will still outdps a mirrorballed magic missile. I've been trying to get a mirrorball with 2 missiles to use conflagrate because I'm running elemental affinity. But my main plan for it is still to get the missiles to proc prodigy.

(for example, i found a 20% fire dam cindercoat with high int, vit and 3 sockets.) now i need to gamble for a mirrorball

The damage difference is not the deciding factor IMO. If you run Glacial, its for the added safety of having the freeze. If you run Conflagrate, its for the better AP management.

Anyway, I dislike how Blizzard constantly forces players to change their playstyle and drop items they spent months searching for. I think I've had enough of D3.

How could you possibly fix an AoE spell by no longer making it AoE? It was a nerf, plain and simple. I think I've had enough of D3. overly dramatic? its still aoe, they fixed the bug/nerfed the radius. FO builds are still viable.

I haven't played it myself since the game is apparently still unavailable, but people on Battle.net forums have been claiming that it now has pitiful AoE. I guess I shouldn't overreact before trying it myself, but considering how badly they nerfed barbs, you can't blame me.
