That's pretty intense. Personally, I don't like the idea of being below 20% life regardless of skill or situation.
After a few days of playing, I've really come to love 1H and shield, I don't think I will change that anytime soon. And from this thread, I really enjoy the max Fury passive.

I tried Juggernaut and it seems pretty useless since you're either going to die in the next few seconds or you're going to end up using a health pot and die soon after.

Juggernaut just reduces the duration of movement imparing effects, and gives a chance to proc a heal for 15% of your health when you're disabled. How does this allow you to spam anything? i'm sorry i meant relentless. i also use jug though xD

it brings back memories of my 49 mld BvC

Level 59 Whirl-Wind + Frenzy Barbarian: Act3 Hell ***57,900 HP*** ***Base Resist All: 119*** Build here
Note: Don't forget to change your Abilities for the boss encounters. This is a decent set up for solo and "low man" groups when you're not tanking for DH and Wiz.
The idea behind this is to be able to efficiently kill large groups of weaker mobs and still be able to quickly transition into a more focused attack on Yellow/Blue/Single mobs.
Strengths: This build works extremely well against large numbers of highly concentrated mobs (for obvious reasons) . The higher the number of mobs, the more invincible you become.
Weaknesses: It can be incredibly frustrating to get in close on ranged mobs, Arcane enchanted and plague mobs are incredibly annoying.
*Edited to account for changes since Hell.

I'm not Level54 and just finished Act1 Hell. The start was so hard, I had to change my build completly and farm gold in Nightmare to buy some items. Now its hard but manageable even Solo, only some extremly unlucky Elite/Champ-Affixcombos are nearly impossible. But the Damage is crazy!

level 59 hell act 4 with 40k hp and 6k DPS and using only heals + stuns, anything else just gets u killed.

hi guys, level 54 barb hell act 2 start:
1 - Leap - Call of Areat 2 - Ground Stomp - Wrenching Smash.......................Rune | boss fight: Foot of Mountain 3 - Ignore Pain - Iron Hide...........................................Rune | party: Mob Rule 4 - Earthquake - The Mountain's Call LM - Cleave - Broad Sweep RM - Hammer of Ancients - Thunderstrike..................Rune | boss fight: Smash
Passive : Pound of Flesh -- Nerves of Steel -- Bloodthirst
What can I say: a maximum of stun with ability to kill masses in a short time and avoiding damage at the same, while getting orbs to heal up
suggestions are welcome

1H+Shield just seems like the best way to go until you're nearing 60. At low-mid levels, 2H weapon damage doesn't outdo 1H weapon damage by enough to warrant giving up the shield (you might even end up with better damage anyway by getting +damage or +str from the shield), and its too hard to get 2 1H weapons with similar DPS for dual wielding to be viable.

Currently lvl 55 act 2 in Hell. I'm playing mulitplayer with three others (Monk, Witch Doctor and DH) and i'm doing some heavy tanking. I basically only stacked vitality so i can take alot of damage while the other guys deal damage. I am currently at 42k HP buffed.
Build: Tank barb
I think i might have done it wrong, because I can't do anything on my own, lol i don't do any damage. But, it is pretty imba while playing with other people.
Im planning on getting more damage in the comming days, because it is annoying not to be able to do stuff on my own....

I enjoy the barbarian. You get to smash the fuck out of all the things.

I assume you mean Nightmare? The reason Leap is great is the mobility, being able to chase down some archer/caster, to dodge certain abilities and get out of tough spots such as big cluster of mobs or molten/plague elites. Plus it is really fun. I can't see myself without any kind of mobility, either Leap or at least Charge.

I'm Lv 54 in Act 1 Hell with 22k hp, 5.6k armor, and 3k dps with a Sword and Shield and dying constantly. It seems like HP doesn't matter as much as magic resist in Hell just like in D2.
Anyway here's my build, maybe i'm doing something wrong! Plz help TL
Primary: Frenzy w/ Vanguard Secondary: Whirlwind w/ Blood Funnel
Defensive: Ground Stomp w/ Wrenching Smash (Combos amazingly with Revenge & Whirlwind) Might: Revenge w/ Provocation Tactics: War Cry w/ Invigorate Rage: Wrath of the Berzerker w/ Insanity (DPS goes up to almost 9k)
Using Superstition, Tough as Nails, and Nerves of Steel for passives for even more damage reduction because it seems impossible without these!

For those on higher difficulties, do stun durations get reduced on monsters? Are bosses more resistant/immune to them? A lot of you still seem to be using Ground Stomp--if stun duration is still long on higher difficulties I'll probably go back to using it--because the only reason I took it off is because I didn't want to get too used to having it if it sucks on later difficulties.

Ground stomp still works on hell. Idk about inferno.

I refuse to believe that all the hell bosses are just perma-stunnable. That would just be lame, and a huge oversight by Blizzard.

For the people that are going whirlwind, try going a charge spec with merciless assault charge. I'm up to act 3 NM right now using that as my primary AOE. Basically you can charge back and forth endlessly through mobs as long as there are 5 or more (and it hits like a ton of bricks). I use the charge as my utility and AOE so it frees up some more options (you don't need leap or sprint if you have the charge).
I've also been working with Berserker rage a lot. It's not good for soloing though because you need seismic slam to AOE reliably and have a ranged attack.
EDIT: I also want to mention that either seismic slam or ancient spear are pretty good vs the troublesome range or monsters that are really position dependent. When I'm fighting those act 2 assholes with the lightning circle either one of those skills is my go to to counter it. Ancient spear is also good vs those mosquitoes or packs that are fire-chained. If you're playing in a group you can use ancient spear to pull one away and solo or to re-position and save people. It's very helpful.

I barely ever stun anything in hell anymore and bosses aren't stunlockable but for more than one reason, you can't sit there spamming attack on them and the resistances to it are a lot higher.
I'm a 53 barb in hell, playing mostly tanky or magic find when doing lower runs. I find that revenge is my best/most beneficial skill as barb.
For skills I use leap, revenge, battle cry/threatening shout, wrath, frenzy, whirlwind from left to right. I don't think its the optimal set up for a lot of stuff but it fits my playstyle best.

From what I gather watching Inferno streams. GS is still key on Inferno but the stun on boss is minimum like half a second or so. Stun duration definately shortened compare to NW.

Yeah, sorry. Mean Nightmare =)
True, using leap to get out of tough spot is good I guess. I just use ground stomp for that. But if they cast the walls around you, the leap can be of great use. The scenarious where I need to run away happen so rarely I have more use of the other abilities. =)
Btw, Does anybody know how to increase the Life per vitality? Right now I get 10hp per Vita, but I've seen people get 35 etc?
