Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

Please get back on topic, this is depressing Discussion is supposed to be about the show, not debating women's rights lol. Anyway, about to watch this week's episode, excited for some action hopefully?

Anyway, about to watch this week's episode, excited for some action hopefully? Aside from the last few minutes, this episode was filler inside filler.. is there a writer's strike or something I don't know about? Was like watching a dbz episode where they stretch out a 3 minute scene for an entire episode. I'm all about char development and drama, but this was just a dragger.. They mentioned a few times in the ep. "Slow down, we got time" At least that made me laugh a bit, almost as if they are self aware.

Like they have some of the best makeup and costume people in the industry and they get their CGI done by some community college B-crew. It's going to be hard for the end of this season to be as good as I'm imagining it.

Also once again Inid or w/e her name is is great at being just said awful character. Either it's her plot or the actress hard to tell.

I had to pause in the middle of the episode to recreate the scene. Not in a long time have I been so invested in a TWD scene.

Going on a two woman suicide mission with someone who hates you and isn't thinking clearly instead of waiting a couple days longer for the army to be ready isn't a great idea in the first place. Even if both chicks have a death wish, and even if they were to succeed in killing Negan, did it ever occur to them that his group would seek revenge? Then they abandoned the sniper plan out of impatience and instead decided to infiltrate the complex with probably 200 enemies inside. And lastly, abandoning even that terrible plan and locking out Rosita to make absolutely sure everything fails. no, they abandoned the plan because Eugene ordered a bunch of the Saviors to sweep the nearby buildings for more walkers

I was thinking there was a "Carol" like subtext of them not wanting to watch anyone else die. If Negan was murdered (particularly by a sniper) I think chaos would be the most likely fall out. They wouldn't know who killed him, for all they would know it could have been someone who wanted Negan's place. If they're caught though, a revenge strike is more likely, although that would still likely be followed by disarray at Negan's camp over new leadership.

Except Rosita tried that before and not only failed but got somebody killed, and Eugene kidnapped.

The Mayor of Hilltop almost dead too bad the camera angle shows Maggie and the Walker standing still and tugging each other's arms... Then there's Oceanside. What separates the Communities from the Saviors? Nothing. They steal and destroy and then said group is thankful towards them... What? Story writing 101 simply ignored.

They take so they can beat common enemies. And if they do return guns later, they are different than Saviour. Saviours turn you into permanent slaves, Communities will offer fair trade and friendship.
