I guess this is Korean though? Does anyone know if there is a chance of an animated version coming out? Or should I just go ahead and start reading it.

So in short I recommend reading this one. Don't be discouraged by the art at first because it will drastically improve during the series. This is one of those series you have to "endure" for a bit at first before the going gets really good.

But I still find the likelihood of such an adaption pretty low honestly

Pretty sure he won't die of that hit to the side, if a prominent character gets offed in shounen they are rewarded with a more grievous wound.

I have a problem with how the author is giving attention to all these minor characters instead of developing a smaller group of characters in addition to Baam and Koon.

I was exaggerating when I said Ran is a ripoff of Killua, but you can't deny that the character doesn't pay homage to him. There's actually plenty of hair colors to choose from when it comes to manga, at least there's more diversity compared to real world trends. Edit: they both also have blue eyes.

Age is a weak similarity as it isn't a defining characteristic in ToG. No one seems to care about a ranker's age. Their personalities are totally different. What does "strong af" even mean? They fight differently, have different abilities, and have totally different roles. They have different motivations and reasons to fight. One is just one of many side characters introduced halfway, and the other is a main character with backstory as a story arc. Sure they both has lightling attacks, but the source and ways to use it and fighting style are totally different, as is the art style. You might as well say every character that uses fire, or ice, are the same as well. There's simply no basis for such a comparison. dragonballs goku was the source of inspiration for one pieces luffy. they are different in many ways but there are similarities. its the same with killua and ran, although the latter is an observation rather than confirmed knowledge. you dont need to be so pedantic about an observation that was not even meant to be a serious point of discussion rofl

It's disappointing if in the next arc some dude says "omg this next level has this monster guy who is 100x stronger than baam" or whatever again. Since Baam has so many allies and acquaintances I'd find it cool to see if they went against a rival crew or some group with malicious intentions (like Rachel's group). Right now Baam is doing almost all the work for everyone to advance to the next level. He's been getting frequent powerups lately too which diminishes the value of his teammates.

Your statement only works when looking at actual combat. But the combat isn't the main storyline. Getting higher up the tower is the storyline. And getting higher up can not be done without his friends. However, i do like your question when you factor in elements as the top 10 rankers. Mr. Zahaad himself and the other irregulars. I would love to see Bam encounter them (again).

However, i do believe the "big bad person" does play a small part in the grand scheme of things. At least the storyline with Kaiser is pretty 'big'. Ruling over a place for a thousand years is pretty huge. What bugs me more is that none of the rankers dare to interfere. Is Bam that strong then? Is he stronger then a ranker for beating Kaiser?

This is a part of the contract they sign when climbing the tower and anyone born in the tower are subjected to it. That is why irregulars are so powerful they are not limited by that contract to the same degree.
