Yeh, this easily the best season of Korra so far. At least the start of it. Real shame to hear this.

Maybe it's because so few people watch on TV vs online?

Hey everyone! I appreciate all the support for the show and share your frustration. But the good news is, you will be able to see the rest of Book 3 of Korra, I just don't know all the details yet. And there is most definitely a Book 4. All the pre-production is done and Studio Mir is hard at work on the animation. So this was a disappointing development for sure but as long as you all are able to see the show in some capacity, I'm grateful. And honestly, you're all watching it online anyway, right?
Maybe I can finally give them all my money if they release these episodes online for a small fee or so

I was curious what the story behind that was since usually shows don't lose episodes XD

advertising on nickleodeon's side has been horrible for this season of korra. so I am not surprised that the viewer numbers are low.
but I have to agree this is by far the best season of korra.

Some great news

Hey Korra Nation! Phew. Some of you may have heard versions of this news elsewhere, but here’s the official word. After this Friday’s on-air premiere of Episode 8 “The Terror Within” at 8/7c, all remaining Book 3 episodes will move to a digital rollout. That means two things: 1) Korra is NOT cancelled, 2) the remaining episodes will roll out weekly on Nick.com and the Nick app beginning August 1, as well as on platforms like Amazon, Google Play, Xbox and Hulu. Thousands of you have been asking to watch this incredible show online, so hopefully this news works in your favor. Mike and Bryan created a breath-taking season for us all…so get ready to watch it all go down!!! Thanks for being the BEST fans in the industry and see you at Comic-Con.

So, we have the best season since TLA and no one watches it?

again, I think it's because most people watch it online (for example, I watched random re-hosts of it), so their TV numbers are low
|
So kids prefer watching spongebob re-runs over TLA who knew

They put it on the Friday night death slot, don't advertise the show, announced the premiere only a week ahead, don't show reruns and don't put the episodes online (until just now). The rush was a bad response to the leaks, but the other things were terrible things they were already doing to the show so no wonder it's failing. LoK is not Spongebob you can't just watch any episode and be fine, it's an overarching story so if you missed an episode you're screwed.
Which by the way you can now watch episodes 1-5 on Nick, the rest to follow. Although the episodes are out of order. It's supposed to be
1. A Breath of Fresh Air 2. Rebirth 3. The Earth Queen 4. In Harm's Way 5. The Metal Clan
6. Old Wounds (Soon to be uploaded) 7. Original Air Benders
8. The Terror Within (This Friday)

I remember waiting at the TV for TLA to start, and to my dismay, finding some shitty new show that would only run for a few episodes, El Tigre I think it was. Remember what they did to the end of Book 3? We had a long hiatus, like a month or so, then with no advertising aired the final 4 episodes in one night.
Nickelodeon is the second worst network on television, only the History Channel is worse.

Wow the newest episode was amazing and really action packed. I also really hate nick for screwing all this up and making us all wait longer for new episodes.
|
So we get the most exciting episode and then we don't know when the rest is coming out.
Damn it Nick.

Damn it Nick. The rest of the episodes are coming out. Online only not anymore on TV. Book 4 is also coming.

Anyone else think Suyin is gonna turn out to be Korra's third adult ally turned traitor? Sato into Unalaq into Suyin. There's no possible way that Korra running off after a super powerful group of criminals with no back up (like, why didn't she send some Metalbender guards if that was her goal all along when she agreed with Lin?) aside from her woefully underpowered friends is in their best interests.
She's also running a colony of reformed criminals and her comments about the Earth Queen suggests grander aspirations. It also makes her second in command being in cahoots with the bad guys more plausible. Wouldn't be surprised if the way she's connected to the antagonists is through that old circus group. I bet a lava bender and a combustion bender would be great attractions.

Tbh I am kind of hoping Su doesn't turn out to be evil. If so I will be kind of sad, she's a cool character and I would really dislike it if she was out to get the avatar. Sucks that we have to wait a whole other week to see what happens

It's too late, man, she even has a child who will turn out to be helpful towards the Avatar after it's revealed that her parent is evil. She's Asami/Eska 2.0.
I also don't think they drew that very detailed circus picture just for a couple second peek while flushing out her background. There's gonna be more to it!
