I mean Episode 6 ended well and nothing could be added, right? http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Expanded_Universe Yeah, nothing.... I'm not saying it's all good though. There's plenty of not particularly amazing writing in there. But there's plenty of stuff that would make for much better movies than episodes 1-3, as long as it's properly drafted for the format of course.

There was a rerelease in 1997 of the original trilogy for the 20 year anniversary that retouched and restored most of the films' scenes, and even added a few that were cut from the original (I believe the Han and Jabba scene on Tatooine wasn't in the first 1977 release). That's actually the version that most people have seen, not everyone has seen the original one from 77. If they are going to do an arc from the extended universe, this is most definitely one they should do.

Too bad my VHS are in a terrible shape And by the way the director's cut is not always the best version.

So he wants to "punish me" by hoping they make a new movie of that same shit. Either way. This whole deal is a GOOD THING, Disney has done an incredibly job with the Marvel properties (Wished they would get the rights to Spider-man) so I'm sure they will do a good job and improve on the previous Trilogy of Star Wars.

Indy too? After that shit that was Indiana Jones 4, I really don't trust franchise reboots after many years. Come to think of it, I never trusted franchise reboots after many years.

Thrawn Trilogy is the defacto gateway into star wars EU for most people so it only really makes sense for that trilogy to be episodes 7-9 however tbh what series would you go to as episode 10 or further on. After Thrawn there is a lot more dissent about what series are good, with the only real consensus being on x-wing series which is too long for a trilogy of episodes, but lets wait for some more info on 7 tbh

If they do the Thrawn Trilogy with a decent directer, I shall be overjoyed. If they jump way into the future, I shall be thoroughly disappointed.

I'm actually super amused because we have found a gem in this thread. Someone who brilliantly trolls Star Wars fans. Seriously, it's hilariously easy. "I like Jar Jar Binks." "I like phantom menace." "That Yoda fight scene was totally realistic and cool!" *queue nerds who foam at the mouth and want to sacrifice you on a Mayan altar.
