Not only does he seem way too important to the overall plot to die halfway through season 4 (way before they even reach Haven), Tyrian also tried to use his stinger vs Ruby head-on and he was explicitly under orders to not kill her. Qrow just got a minor cut. + Show Spoiler +he will prob be unconscious/too weak to fight for rest of season, by which point they should be able to make an antidote using the poison tyrian left behind, but yea one of the best battles of the series for sure. In regards to the rest of the season, I really didn't see whitley coming despite it being so obvious. Also good to finally have some Oz, though not exactly how I would have wanted
EDIT: just rewatched episode. Ozpin says: "I went through the same panic and confusion." It seems Ozpin IS dead, he isn't the wizard, looks like he is the reincarnation of the wizard. Oscar is the new Wizard/Ozpin. + Show Spoiler +Yeah apparently the Wizard/Ozpin is like the Avatar. Although Ozpin dying still doesn't make sense because all we saw was him and Cinder fighting evenly. And I figured he would be more powerful than that. Maybe he felt that the time was right and so he went full Obi-Wan?
The story Weiss is going through is really interesting atm. Still, I kinda hope the season ends with her leaving Atlas somehow. Also the face Tyrian makes while deflecting Ruby's bullets with his tail is one of the funniest things this series has done so far. + Show Spoiler +ill always hold out hope that oz is alive, but it appears they are going for the avatar route

Like how many times did Ruby's aura completely deplete from before, she almost got oneshot lol. Anyway I've been waiting for this fight, and it was gooood.
So if you die to a Schnee you become his/her summon? Maybe she'll break out the giant armor and gtfo, though I'm still unsure if it was an actual enemy or a representation of something else. Edit: nvm, the answer's in the manga.

Well I'll be, we get an actual episode this week.

Qrow's semblance is a pretty cool idea. Really not an ability you see a lot.

Like in the last episode when he told Ruby to stay back, and when she replied "This is my fight too!", he went "No it's not that! It's..." before he got interrupted. Also is it just me, or was Jaune kind of an asshole this week?
I love Blake's parents. They're so understanding and caring. Especially her dad came of as somewhat of a brute when he got introduced, but he's actually a gentle giant (with a dislike for Sun, and honestly at this point you can't even blame him for that yet). Contrasts really well with Weiss' awful family, too.
+ Show Spoiler +The end of the episode is such a Qrow thing to do too. Wakes up, sees signs of poison everywhere around him, goes "Well, that's unfortunate", passes out. I'm still convinced he won't die from the poison.
My only concern for this season is that they're trying to do too many things at once so they won't be able to end up doing all of them justice.

There are only 4 episodes left, it seems despite what we see in the theme song, RWBY won't come back together before season's end. But the other three will begin their search for rwby. I'm expecting weiss may reach rwby before season's end, depending on how long they delay her summoning montage.

The damn feels. Really solid episode.

KaiserNeko (of TeamFourStar) makes a cameo in this episode, I thought that was really cool

+ Show Spoiler + I think it's likely he did some magic mumbo jumbo and disappeared/transcended or w/e. I mean it seems clear that cinder isn't particularly confident she actually killed him, I got the impression cinder was actually just confused what happened to him.

Very interesting episode in terms of exposition. Surprised by the new Grimm's design.
+ Show Spoiler +I was expecting something more akin to a Minotaur or perhaps Centaur when we saw the hoof marks. Now I wonder if it has a fear of water just like the mythical creature it is based on or if it just don't give a fuck.

Finally everything is in motion and all the girls are going in the right direction. So I guess episode 12 will be the big fight against this Nuckelavee or whatever that Grimm wants to be.

But I feel like they definitely need some sort of help against that thing. Unless the Silver Eyes go crazy again.

overall a much more lackluster finale than last years, but still alright I guess. I couldn't help but smile at the post-credits scene though, that was pretty great.

So much buildup but in the end it couldn't even do much against the meddling kids. The Tyrian fight seemed much bigger and more impactful for the series.
Also the letter-writing narration went on for too long imo. But the post-credits scene made up for it.

It did help confirm the wizard of oz theory though, so that's cool.
