Also I think I finally understand what the coordinate is. It's not a special mutation that lets you control all titans. The royal blood is what lets you do that. The coordinate is what links you to all other titans. It's like a hive mind type of thing.
Zeke did, thats why Owl supressed the information so that the mother wouldnt end up as a baby factory
Zeke probably gave up telling them it when his mother died though

I don't understand anything anymore

+ Show Spoiler +Nazis attempt to capture remote control for doomsday army in order to expand their lebensraum.
...no really, I think the story has been really good so far. God knows what Zeke and Reiner are planning, though; they don't appear to be working towards the same goals as the Marleyan leadership.

We are 4 years into the future right now. We are currently viewing the other side of the fence: the Warriors' faction. The original characters (Eren, Mikasa, etc...) are all living back at the three walls. The walls are situated on an island - which it turns out is Madagascar.
Mainland Africa is ruled by Marley, a giant empire. Marley is a kingdom of humans that was started when they overthrough the original titan kingdom that ruled Africa. Marley attacked the walls with their titans (Bert, Reiner, Annie...) in order to obtain the coordinate. They failed and lost two titans.
Other nations caught on that Marley was weakened. The Middle Eastern union, another faction, decided to declare war on Marley. The war was declared about the same time when we last left off - when Bert was killed and Zeke and Reiner ran away.
We are now 4 years into the future. Marley has won the war but sustained heavy losses. Marley is foreseeing the destruction of their empire because the power of the Titans is not enough to hold up their empire anymore. They now need to create conventional weapons. However, in the meantime, they think it is best to invade the Walls again and try to capture the coordinate (again) so to prevent the other nations (like the Middle Eastern Union) from trying to declare war on them again.
We have new main characters. These guys are warriors, which are essentially Titan shifters and candidates to inherit Titan powers should the other warriors die. Reiner and Zeke are the last warriors from the original brigade. Bert was killed, Annie is a crystal, Marcel was eaten by Ymir - who was then eaten by Marcel's brother. There is still one more titan unaccounted for. And that's it. That's where we're at.

+ Show Spoiler +According to the newest chapter, Zeke never told the Marleyan Government that he has royal blood. He's definitely up to something.

Wow, that summarized things super well because finally everything makes sense again. Cheers!

Check the newest translation of the latest chapter. Nobody in the Marleyan government knows that Zeke is a royal; Zeke implies to Colt that he'll only learn Zeke's secret when he passes on the Beast titan.

ye goddamn felt like being trolled, turned out to be the future :'(
it is going to end in the next year or so apparently, and eren is about time to die after this time skip

After rereading a few chapters, i'm wondering why didnt marcel transform before being eaten by ymir. They clearly had their abilities then as they were sent to infiltrate, but he just dies right then and there. Eren has shown he can transform even while getting gripped by other titans most recently by reiner.
Its not like the titans move their arms particularly fast enough to not be able to react, they rather seem to not care and just slowly grab humans to eat.

they need to be injured, maybe just failed to cut himself in time

My guess is that for all of their training, they were unprepared to face titans psychologically. Reiner forgot who he was and adopted another personality, whilst Eren had already lived through a traumatic titan experience.

I mean, I don't think you can even call them the bad guys anymore. Most of them except Reiner are just brainwashed.

your right, they are trying to completely wipe out an entire population using terrible and inhumane methods because senpai didnt notice them
the things marley has done more then earns them the label of "bad guys" and even though some of there troops deserve sympathy that doesnt mean we cant call them bad guys

I think it would be cool if Marley's version of history turns out to be closer to the truth, than Grisha's. We still don't know what the secret of the king is. Maybe they really were a plague on the world and the king saw imprisoning and erasing everyones' memories as the only way.
