So for like zeke when he was boy he was playing with the monkey doll and he took the shape of a monkey beast. Plus in the opening of season 2, you can see a ton of animals running with the beast titan all with a special red glowing heart. So maybe its hinting at the other forms that it can take. (tho a whale titan would be interesting). Also falco is kinda like falcon so what if he inherits the beast titan and turns into a flying titan. Yea I thought that part of the intro was out of place, wondered why they put that in there lol.
Speaking of which, season 2 was only 12 episodes long and now we're at a quiet point in the manga where not much is going on, just more world/character-building and stuff. I almost want to check the spinoffs at this point, or just reread the entire thing.

I think the beast titan has always been a chimp looking thing.
It's too much of a coincidence that Zeke was playing with the exact doll that he turned into. I think that doll is literally a plushie of the beast titan. If you think about it, the titans are so famous that people would definitely have action figures of them. The only question is who owns the copyright and who gets the royalties. I would assume the government does or maybe it's public domain.
Also, the titans don't change that drastically when they get passed down from generation to generation. You see some different faces and body types but nothing as dramatic as Chimp -> Bird.

Could someone explain me why titans like Ymir/Reiner cant control the inferior titans? As far i remember, Annie was able to command them. Both Zeke and Eren can do it as well.

Eren could only for that one instant, Annies titan had that ability and the beast titan apears to have something similar too
Ymir and reiners titans are not equipped to do it

Annie kicking the shit out of Reiner heh. Still can't say I feel for him, and Bertholdt's already dead so...
Wonder if anything happened with Annie and her crystal stasis after the timeskip.

I know that I am a bit late to the party for this chapter but... their plan was really stupid and entirely unnecessary. Why did they need to break down the wall? Wouldn't it have been a lot easier to simply wait till night time and climb over some part that isn't near a city? They would be able to blend in a lot better and wouldn't risk (in their minds) all out war with the king. I highly doubt that the government keeps a registry of people and where they live, as evidence by that village that no one knew the name of.
This way, annie would actually be able to become a servant of a royal or something without every noble being paranoid of intruders. They would also have a better chance of finding Grisha, though they probably didn't know that. They would also have been able to take a bunch of people with them. Why do they all need to be warriors? Why not some mundane special agents? In fact, how would the kingdom even be able to determine who's a spy and who isn't? Wouldn't it have made sense to infiltrate the walls long before that point to get valuable intel before invading them?
|
They were running awau from titans when they got to the wall. And it had to be warriors because they need to pass through all the titans in the island
|
Wouldn't the cart titan be able to ferry soldiers over? That is kind of what it's meant for.
Also, my perception was that they were using Annie's scream to draw all the titans to them for the invasion. Madagascar is huge and it's not like there are millions of titans - they would be scattered all over. Also in the past the scouting legion has gone beyond the wall and not attracted a giant horde.
|
I agree that it would had been smarter to try to infiltrate by just climbing a lesser populated part of the wall, but they simply hadn't the information or time to do so. From what we know, it is highly unlikely that anybody but those with titan powers would be able to get to the wall. The scouts lost plenty of soldiers by exploring a little bit beyond the walls and they can turn back to return to the walls at any point. On the other hand the Marley would have to travel all the way from shore to wall. Plus it seems that the Marley barely know anything about how the people inside the walls lived.

They can't send all Warriors since they were also at war during that time and needed the strength of the other titans to keep their advantage. This is also why the Cart titan (I forgot her name... ) and Zeke were sent a couple years later: without any news and the technology becoming better, they needed to complete their mission quickly and recover their titans.

New chapter is out BTW.
I kind of had a sneaking suspicion that that cripple was Eren. Impressive that he can control his regeneration so well. Or maybe he just has his leg tied together like this:

Where do you get your chapters?

He was about to kill himself. Interesting.
|
I guess he does realize he's wronged people on both sides of the conflict and feels remorse for it. However he's still killed Marco in one of the worst ways imaginable, so he's still unredeemable in my eyes.

So when the head says he's spun memories "along with the Warhammer titan", does he mean that it has the power to alter memories too, and that he himself is the current holder?

I think it meant that he inherits the memories of the previous holders of the titan. Essentially, he holds the collective memories of the Tybar family, which makes him the most knowledgeable character in the setting, far above Zeke or the others. While every other titan gets passed down to unrelated people, the Warhammer titan has been in the family consistently for at least 100 years (and probably even longer than that).
|
The original titan would probably be above the war hammer in the memories department, but unless Historia or Zeke eat Eren, they are forever lost. Plot wise it's for the best. The original titan knew too much, this way we will know little by little as story progresses.
