You guys are talking down to me like this is obvious. But that sounds really silly...lol.
While it seemed to me that watching her hug another was painful, I think it's clear that there is some past grudge.

It's the fact that, in his mind, Coulson personifies SHIELD who is the organization that has kept his daughter from him for 20+ years.

I think with the sneak peak at the end of the episode for Avengers : Age of Ultron we can say that Captain America will be the next king of Asgard.
On a less serious note + Show Spoiler +They gave Ward an inch and he's in the wild. A very cool direction for the story better then a straight return to Hydra or a redemption arc. Maybe he will try to be : To thy Sky be true and "return" to Hydra.

I truly think he will continue to be the bad guy in this season.

Coulsen will never forgive Ward so that rules out a return to SHIELD unless someone else is running it.

I really liked this episode. coulson as a director is much better. the interactions between the crew members were funny and genuine. now they just need a "better" villain and the future is a bright one.

Hm, I dropped this mid season 1, now I see it got better, although too many plot twists and it's still visibly TV production (armed forces with bike helmets...)

Well I caught up recently, otherwise I wouldn't comment on it. I don't really like flip-flop good guy bad guy stuff when we basically have no way of knowing in advance. What's nice is the film integration - definitely better than having a former Superman film actor play the part of a TV show Ray Palmer x)

Wait what?
Did Whitehall do that and expected it to work exactly like what he expected? + Show Spoiler +transplanting everything from Skye's mum into himself should carry some risk, but he just did it without fear or anything? all i can say is that i love this show's plot more and more

It's one of these shows that you can easily pick apart and point out all kinds of plot holes if you really want to. But why would you want to do that? It's still a great, enjoyable show, though.

He had nothing to lose. I am sure they skipped months and months of experimentation and gave us a TLDR with those scenes

They said he was away for a year.
Also, kind of disappointing: + Show Spoiler +The end of the season is obviously gonna be Skye's dad capturing Coulson, about to kill him, then finds evidence that Whitehall was the one that actually killed his wife and noble sacrifices to take him down. At least that's the obvious play, I really hope that's not what they go for.

I assume he already knows that Whitehall is the one, considering the scene at the end with him looking Whitehall in the eye and his general behavior. He doesn't believe he can take on Whitehall by himself so he's manipulating both sides to get Whitehall killed and Skye away from Shield.

He has 2 goals, get skye away from Shield for taking her away from his only family, and to kill Whitehall, last part was a dead giveaway with the speech about "looking at your enemies in the eyes". He knows who did that to his wife.

guys, guys. you missed the biggest point about the episode.

Actually surprised with the direction they're taking Ward, and it's worked out quite well. They keeping twisting him back and forth where you try to figure out just how psychotic he really is.

This new season is actually pretty darn awesome with the Ward arc & Skye grand conspiracy and Hydra with Whitehall etc. definitely had me interested in what's going to happen next.
Btw...shouldn't Whitehall be able to touch the diviner now? Raina could. Whitehall with what he did to Skye's mum should be able to touch it too. I suspect it will end up having Whitehall be the final villain who took the diviner into the city

Well Ward being a fucking psycho is confirmed.
Also I found it hilarious that Fitz was just plugging sata cables and RAM into a motherboard.
