Hi guys,
Currently a lot of shows have either ended forever for example, Dexter and Breaking Bad or are currently on a break (GoT and Suits). But luckily to fill the gap brand new shows are popping up to make sure we won't do anything productive with our lives.
So I'm wondering if any of you out there have heard of The Blacklist and what you think about it so far. The first episode just aired yesterday and I found it pretty entertaining, maybe because I like the main character so much his voice is sick.
Here is the trailer for the series:

James Spader is amazing imo. I will watch it for sure.

I watched this and I enjoyed it. I thought the trailer looked really good. The trailer is pretty representative of the show. If you like the trailer you will probably like the show. If you don't like the trailer you probably won't like the show.

Watched the pilot and was thoroughly entertained. James Spader's performance will pretty much make or break the show.

I'll watch it thanks to you, so thanks again.

The exact same plot as White Collar. I'm interested tho

Been watching it, it's been pretty good. Really interested in the reason why he purposely turns himself in. I think it's pretty obvious he's Keen's father, or at least it's heavily hinted at.

Will watching it tonight and see how it goes, need to find something new to fill the void caused by all the recent finished series

Maybe there is going to be a huge plot twist ?

7.9 / 10 on imdb? I don't think so
god, breaking bad really set the bar high, it will be difficult to find a good series again

It's hard to say. Hollywood shows tend to lack sutblety but at the same time why would they drag on this reveal when they shove it into our face constantly. In the latest ep he says the FBI works for him now so maybe he turned himself in to use the FBI to do something. Don't know what that is yet :<

lol you contradicted yourself pretty hard there. There have been 2 eps, how does an imdb rating based on 2 eps mean anything. Go watch boardwalk empire since it's ongoing and better than breaking bad anyway

was about to download this but AVClub gives two C for two eps so I went for Masters of Sex instead Guess Im gonna save it for the weekend

And seeing how he's usually stellar...I think I'll have a look
even if it does look totally "Silence of the Lamb"-ripoff-ish

Dunno seems really cheesy to me. You can often times just see right through the plot. Ye right what a cliffhanger to blow up the female (way too good looking) protagonist at end of episode 1... Also I dont like this Hannibal esque catch a terrorist/mass murderer villain every other episode. Not really plausible.

I'm a huge fan of Spader and without him i doubt i would watch this. A bit too lighthearted for my liking and the actress who plays Keen is not very convincing, sadly.

It's very much Spader being Spader from what I've seen.
The shows general premise, set up, and execution is all pretty familiar so far. If you enjoy fast paced TV action, are willing to suspend your disbelief, and if you're not really look too closely at it all it's a reasonably enjoyable hour. I doubt it'll be must watch viewing for me, but maybe something to catch up with in blocks when there's time to kill.

Masters of Sex was massively better imo, but demands more of your attention.

Or just a ploy to reconnect with his daughter?
