An automobile mechanic and his daughter make a discovery that brings down the Autobots - and a paranoid government official - on them.
Personally, Im excited to watch this movie on Monday, Im looking at the reviews and its a 6/10 on imbd and 18% for Rotten Tomatoes, which is terrible.. The box office however shows its been 41$ million for opening day, which is not bad tbh.
I saw it the other day and had fun. They took out most of character driven story lines in order to focus more on giant robots fighting, and honestly I'm glad. It makes the occasional line of emotional dialogue seem come out of left field, and there are plot holes throughout, but it's pretty good mindless fun. Much more so than the first couple as far as I can remember, which I recall spending way too long on Shia.

Since when has opening day box office sales been ANY indicator of quality? It's Transformers, of course it's gonna sell. Go see Snowpiercer instead
I should reserve judgement until I actually see it, but the fact that all indications pointed to this movie being terrible long before it was released and yet it's still going to make a massive amount of money, maybe even a billion dollars, while other perfectly decent movies like Edge of Tomorrow just scrape by, makes me really sad.
I just saw it out of a sick curiosity. It was literally the worst thing I've EVER seen that wasn't an intentional B-movie/independent movie. I would rather watch The Last Airbender b/c at least that didn't make me physically ill. I'm dead fucking serious. There were 3 o 4 scenes where I had absolutely no idea what was happening and who was saying what.
This is the worst piece of garbage ever. It is a 3 hour fucking advertisement. Quite literally every other scene is an advertisement for one thing or another. They even have Chinese product placement when they have scenes in China.
The plot holes are rampant, the story is lazy and the acting is embarrassing (the only person who gave a half decent performance IMO was Stanley Tucci). Every single scene that involved humans was mind numbing. The main female lead was the female lead in The Last Airbender. That tells you all you need to know of her acting ability. She's only in the movie for some more softcore porn, EVEN THOUGH THE MOVIE TELLS US SHE IS ONLY 17?!?! Go die in a fire Michael Bay.
I give it a 3/10.
1 point for some REALLY cool robot designs.
1 point for some decent robot on robot action (only R on R, no humans)
.5 points for killing off the worst character in the history of movies early off in the movie
.5 points for some decent music.
This movie is insulting to a thinking mind. Do not watch this, even out of curiosity. I was so angry getting out of this movie i've decided to boycott all things Michael Bay. Won't even watch TMNT even though I loved them as a kid.
I think most of you guys have different expectations. Come on, you had three movies before this one to show you what kind of movie you should be expecting. Shitty story, cool robots and hot girls. The only thing that matters is how well does the movie do in these departments
Saw this yesterday. I have zero expectation for this film because it's michael fucking bay. Even for a brainless summer movie, it still failed to be entertaining because it was too long and lacked any sense of logic. Sure the robot battles are great but they were more of a case of "been there, done that".
The sheer amount of product placements is to be expected, but a lot of made no sense at all. (eg: There's an ATM of a Chinese bank.....in Texas.....which Mark Walberg's character used......)
Once again, the VFX was top notch as usual, the best part of movie hands down.
The scene at the end where Optimus flies of into space carrying the Seed was a big WTF moment for me. It made the final arc of the movie completely pointless since he could've done that in the first place. It was also cheesy as fuck

This was directed by Michael Bay wtf do you expect? A plot rofl? I want explosions, robots, and hot ass women nothing else. If you weren't expecting those you have some serious issues. Go watch the notebook or something.
So yeah boys, I watched this movie and all I can say is there is no real storyline, full of advertisements, wouldnt count this as a movie, bad acting and last but not least the fights were awesome of course
4/10 wouldnt watch again
edit: i kindve want this thread to be deleted, the movies so bad it doesnt deserve a thread.
If you can, do yourself a favor and never see this "movie". I don't think it took them more than 15 minutes to put the script together, 1 day to shoot all the scenes involving actors and then spend the rest of the money and time on repetitive CGI. Every time a character opens their mouth you cringe, all dialog in the movie takes maybe 5 minutes and most of it is really bad one-liners separated by 20 minute periods of non-stop explosions. It's exhausting to watch, extremely boring and shitty no matter what scale you put it to.
So, so bad. I got roped in with my roommates but they didn't like it either. There were a few moments that were enjoyable in how terrible they were+ Show Spoiler +
there's that "I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going" moment, but I was the only person in the theater who laughed D:
but it's cancelled out when the movie is 3 hours long.
If you go into a michael bay transformers movie expecting anything more than cool effects, robots fighting and a lot of explosions you guys really need to get a reality check .Plot, logic and good acting haven't been part of the first few transformers don't see why it would change with this one.
Optimus prime riding a firebreathing trex biggest highlight.

Except the effects stop being cool when they're being churned out non-stop for over an hour... Fighting where everyone is shooting and hitting everything except their intended target (more explosions) isn't good in any way. Also, with each Transformers movie the robots become less and less "robotic" with more humanized features (both in appearance and character).
There was absolutely nothing good about this movie. No redeeming features whatsoever. Pouring bleach on your eyes, going to the shock therapy session and slapping in 15 minutes of extra waterboarding would probably be more enjoyable than seeing this...
