Hey guys,
I would like to share an awesome project of a friend of mine. Me and a good group of other passionate music enthousiasts have been using the Soundrop application in Spotify in the last few years to share and discover new music. Soundrop was an application that could be installed within the Spotify desktop client, and gave you the opportunity to join genre specific rooms, and create own personal rooms where people could add and vote on tracks available in the Spotify database. This lead to a tight knit community of people sharing and voting, making you discover the latest and best music of all available music genres.
Unfortunatelly Spotify decided to drop the API for desktop applications, which also had an effect on Soundrop. The Soundrop dev team decided to pull the app to move on to a different project.
SoundBounce is a new project by my friend Paul, who has been a loyal Soundrop user aswell, that improves upon the idea of Soundrop with a new stand-alone desktop client using the spotify library to stream the music.
It's a very good way to discover people with similar musical taste, and it makes you discover loads of new music you normally never would have found. It's also perfect for background music for all your gaming and streaming.
