If you ever needed more justification for being a gamer then I might have something one day. And hopefully some people here will be receptive to the possibility that what I'm saying is real. I've always admired how skilful a person can get at something, whether it be through natural gifts, or theorycrafting, or practice, or conditioning. It might not sound so possible to apply this to making something as subjective as music, but I really think that I've heard such an extreme amount of music and done so much analysis to be sure enough of what I have. Everybody has different music taste but I do think that there are enough musical patterns among songs to determine for the most part what is "good music" for a noticeable proportion of accomplished music listeners, especially when analyzing how well-liked songs are from the same album or artist.
I've come up with a discography of music that is very diverse. When you think of all the different types of good music out there, I might just have something along those lines. Some of it might even be like a glimpse of the evolution of music. It has to be for a female-fronted band since some of these songs actually sound like something that is missing from the music world. There's rock, pop, metal, punk, classical, and more. There's cool stuff and guilty pleasures. There are all kinds of vibes. It is somehow the making of a band. Some of this might even be music that the US mainstream music industry is dying to have, but that doesn't mean that it will be of any lower standard than the not-so-mainstream stuff. You may know of some amazing but not-so-mainstream music and maybe that's the standard that I want to help the mainstream attain or the kind of music that I want to help pave the way for. There are so many chances for the band to go viral that I almost can't imagine this band not succeeding, especially if it is based in the US, because given how much the state of music (esp rock) is bemoaned, I think this band might deliver some surprises. There's stuff for young and old. Even the more classic sounding stuff should be surprising. I think this band will have global appeal if given the chance because I'm influenced by music from all over the world and I think the approach to meeting the arcane standard of "good music" could give this band an edge.
I've used such a large array of techniques to conceive this music and judge its viability but for the sake of your sanity I won't be mentioning too much. Developing a consistently high quality level of thinking is not necessarily enough to come up with a lot of really good music. I think it is quite important to be able to engineer those critical bursts of very high quality creative thinking because just one moment like that can be more useful than a much longer period of consistent and higher-on-average quality thinking with lesser peaks. I think that these critical bursts of creativity even apply to making breakthroughs in other areas and certain types of people under certain conditions can be much more likely to make them. So I might seriously have something for all you futurist-think-tank-save-the-world type of people one day if this music turns out to be as good as I think and I have the time and resources to move onto something with more worldly implications. I have a system that allows me to compare the quality (according to my taste) of two very different-sounding portions of music. I also somehow have a system to remove a large part of the subjectivity when rating music and even a system to ensure that the music is almost certainly original too.
I'm looking for a group of up-and-coming musicians to help me finish off and carry out this music and even take credit for it. Preferably a group that includes chemistry with a female vocalist who can sing almost anything and match a lot of images and some guitarists who can handle being the next guitar heroes. Potential is more important than experience, because I am open to the idea that sometimes the greatest potential skill in something is reached from a slow start or even starting from behind. This is actually quite an important concept to me. I also favor feel over technical superiority, so instinct for "good music" of all types is preferred even if that means you can't stand performing original music unless it happens to be amazing. I have a theory that I'm more likely to find people in these forums than most other places who have what I would consider to be "very good music taste". I can promise that this is a very safe opportunity and the only catch might be the logistics of working with me.
I wish I could explain everything. Hope someone believes me and goes all the way with this.
