I mean they as a duo are definitely more interesting than Cabba but that definitely looks like it's the case. Of course. Cabba is U6 Vegeta, Caulifla is U6 Goku. It's just natural order for Cabba to get sidelined.

They needed to make something happen fast with this series, and they did. This episode was awesome. No Ribriannes, no nonsense.

Watching the episode again, I think it's unfortunate Fake Beerus didn't get knocked out. He looks like a cocky asshole who definitely deserves his comeuppance. A big part of the reason why I see the whole "justice" obsession as a huge, annoying sham.

I am a simple man. All I want is for freeza to decapitate Toppo and Jiren.

I think it's been made clear by my last few posts, but I definitely get a strong "I don't like that guy" vibe from basically all of U11.
Also: does anyone else think that the multiply-attempted "target the ace of the opposing team with a grunt combination" strategy is a losing one? It's been tried about five times and always ended in getting bodied by the tankiest member of the team.

That seems like the easiest way to win the tournament.

You can bet that none of those would let one of the other ones get piled in a potentially fatal situation.

I think DBZ may not be available on GodTube. This is DBZ101.
Earthlings against Nappa Ginyu force against Goku Vegeta and Trunks against Android 18 Everyone against Cell
Strength can not be overcome with numbers in the dragon ball universe. Closest we get to that is spirit bomb.
Edit: If I may suck Freeza's dick a bit: I think he is well aware of the game theory surrounding this and that is why he is just casually strolling around the arena, using as little energy as he can torturing people. Stay out of the fray, keep a low profile, but get your muscles moving and wait for things to settle. Plenty of time to study others and generally stay out of trouble.

Fun fact about Trunks and Vegeta against 18. In the Japanese version, there was a line about how 17 stepped into that fight because he realized that the two of them could actually pose a very genuine threat together against her. So perhaps not the best example, because that power difference is vast.
But let's try to think of it in terms of something like a Starcraft example instead. It would be like trying to focus fire the most strongly defended structure in their base, and seeing your army whittle away to nothing against the combined strength of a rock-solid defense. As opposed to snipping away at the edges of that defense until the core is not particularly well defended anymore.

And yet she broke Vegeta's arm in a single kick without really any effort? I don't doubt what you're saying, but I think this was 17 being extremely overly careful.
Edit: There is also the fact that Vegeta shit a brick and basically went into a full on emo panic attack when he sensed Piccolo after re-fusing with Kami.

The whole advantage of 17 and 18 is that their combat strength is only somewhat impressive, but they never tire. At first, Vegeta was very much on par with 18, to the point that Trunks was impressed with how far they had gone and said something like "if I had known that they would be this strong my plans would have been different." But by the end of the fight, Vegeta was pretty tired whereas 18 was still at full strength, so yeah, it was an easy stomp in that regard.

Goku is fairly tanky. All else failing, he could always teleport.

Power scales quadratically in Starcraft, but nobody bothered telling Dragonball characters it scales even exponentially in that universe. (Wondered who does their strategy or if GoD anywhere have any clue about statistics). And I agree I wanted Dyspo out ASAP even if it's a bit hard on U11 to be down to two fighters only that early. Once again I blame Goku's silly demeanour as he should have one-shot the saving sidekick straight, if he was gonna get a bit serious anyway.
I actually dislike Toppo just a tad less now after his 'lay off the justice talk nonsense' comment. Guy's beginning to realize since Jiren is so obviously Goku's prom date, the fate of his entire universe rests on him.

U11 talks a big game about "justice" but so far they've acted like little more than bullies and villainesque cocky assholes. Not exactly all that much "justice" in singling out two weakened Saiyans (Kale and Caulifa) because they look like easy targets. Hoping to see them get erased so we can just have a regular old fashioned 6 vs 7 showdown.

I imagine a situation where Hit and Goku run out the time so both universes survive. Did they specifically say what would happen if it isn't over by the time limit?
|
They never specified what happens if you take too long. I'm assuming all universes are either destroyed or a death battle ensues. I'm going to assume that's what happens with Jiren vs Goku. And like Cell, Goku forces Gohan's hand and he has to defeat Jiren. Vegeta and Cabba knock out Freeza and Frost for trying to fuck U7 & U6 over.

If something was too "fast" for Zen-Oh to comprehend that puts a limit on its fighting ability doesn't it? Not to say that a regular attack would damage him, but dents that omnipotence a bit.

After giving this some more thought, I have thought of a dynamics that I think works. I think Zenoh's guards are able to create immortality, or something similar, at will. Whether or not they are invincible, I dunno. But I imagine that their power is being able to make Zenoh invincible similar to how Zenoh can destroy anything. Similar dynamic as kai/GoD.
