Goku didn't become something greater, no one died, he can't go UI. What meaningful impact did the tournament really do? I wanted something to happen that would've been different and a had lasting, something, anything.
Kinda disappointed...
The most meaningful part of this tournament is that 6 universes were not erased.
If the tournament did not happen, zeno was planning on erasing them already. So because this happened, these 6 universes proved they should still be around.
I can't wait to watch DBS again when the English dubs are finished, to compare it to the English subs Any idea when the series should be completed with the English voice actors?

The dub is at episode 56 out of 131. So they still have a ways to go.
Android 17: from obscure fanfic park ranger to best fighter in the universes, well what do you know.
It was a good finale, but I'm really not down with the fact that Zenos plan it all from the start, I mean they seems to have the brain of a toddler on cafeine pills, not exactly one of a mastermind.

Interesting tidbit I noticed: Frost was revived. Wasn't sure if he would be. I wonder if we'll ever figure out why he's called Doctor Rota? + Show Spoiler +
Manga ain't enough to satisfy me.

Doubt it. He's obviously still evil but I doubt he's going to be the villain again after an arc like this. Plus here and there you do get commentary out of Beerus that very strongly suggests that you need evil bastards like Freezer to keep the universe running.

Talking about the 6 that were erased when there were 18 universes or the 7 that were killed in this tournament? The thought had occurred to me as well, to be sure.
Eh I think Freeza is still going to want his revenge on Goku. You may be right, I just think he'll be a villain again just not as fast as in the ROF arc.
Freeza changed in a very notable way between ROF and now: he shed that psychotic obsession with revenge that characterized his return earlier. When Goku came to hell to fetch him, it was almost as if Freeza knew that one day that would happen and that Goku’s desire to fight again was his best chance of getting out of there. Might have been the presence of Beerus alongside Goku that caused that, who even he knew never to challenge.
In any case, the reaction is clearly more “I hate your guts but I’d rather not get killed again” as opposed to the “revenge at all costs” approach. And more than once Beerus hints at the importance of having someone in the universe to bring order, lest there be a dearth of powerful fighters. It’s very similar to the need for a God of Destruction in the first place. In that sense it does sort of seem reasonable that Freeza came back.
Him being a villain again doesn’t really make sense. More likely a villainous side-character.

I still wish they brought back Cell instead
Cell has the same problem as Buu in that the obvious strategy is to have him eat anyone they would otherwise ring out.
