In a few words it really is what you should expect: a light hearted G-rated action movie with dinosaurs.
Out of curiosity, are there any other movie reviews you've written on movies that you haven't actually watched?
This is the movie you must be thinking of:
Rated G. lol.

You guys fail at trolling. You're aware I live in another country right ? Room had a few kids in it (at 10pm!).
I guess canadian (quebec) kids have a stronger heart. It's rated G here. http://www.cinemamontreal.com/cinemas/mega-plex-marche-central-18-imax
Not sure why you'd feel the need to really highlight that single fact in my review. There's no problem in watching a kid movie guys
Edit: To be fair it seems the equivalent rating to MPAA would be PG parental guidance suggested since I remember some "Not suited for very young children" indicator next to the G rating. http://www.mpaa.org/film-ratings/

Still wrong. MPAA rates it PG-13. If you watched some sort of weird censored version then you didn't watch the movie we're talking about. So maybe you just succeed at trolling? Maybe your country just doesn't like showing the regular version of the movie or something, but you should have recognized that before you wrote your inaccurate review lol.
I wasn't even aware that Canada was in to showing super-kiddie versions of movies. That's a cool factoid to learn though- that some places show versions of movies different than the standard version. It's not like PG-13 is super controversial though.

What word in "You're aware I live in another country right ?" you don't understand ? Never denied it's PG13 in the US.

Lol seriously ? You think we have censored versions because it's too hard to accept that here it's rated G ? Facepalmingly interesting. You're aware ratings is the work of some people so different agencies will give different ratings (especially in different systems) and that afaik Canada isn't a US state ?
Edit: Seems there are also differences inside canada (I live in quebec). Toronto rates it PG (and more violent movies are rated 14+). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_motion_picture_rating_system

Seen this last night in 3D. Prettty good and entertainingm would recommend. the girl is really hot. I loved the last battle lol.
but why do they make every dinosaur so fucking unrealistic? no feathers, same ridiculously big velociraptors
actually the after all these buzz that says dinosaurs have feathers, a more recent research says that the scaly, no-feather one is actually correct after all. Can't link the source I;ve read it a couple weeks ago

Frog DNA = no feathers, right?
At least we didn't get the human+dino hybrids that were considered for this sequel way back. Fun movie nevertheless. Definitely excited the kid in me that always wanted to see real dinos. Seeing the park fully realized was neat.

The reconstructive study suggests that most non-meat-eating dinosaurs did not have feathers.

Meh, impossible to tell. In the original movie, frog DNA was used to replace missing genetic sequences that had deteriorated. The implication was that most of those sequences were junk. Besides, Jurassic Park premiered before the first evidence of feathered dinosaurs were dug up in Liaoning.

That's called exageration. I just find the obscession with the rating kind of strange, as if someone wouldn't want to watch something G rated.

It's just that your version of rated G is apparently not our version of rated G, and the rating is PG-13 with us so it's very misleading.

Agreed. There are plenty of teenagers and pre-teens at PG-13 movies, but when you think of a rated G movie you tend to think of one that doesn't contain things like dinosaurs ripping into people. More like Dora the Explorer or Cinderella. Heck, even Shrek was rated PG.

Well I quickly recognized the difference in rating. No biggie, even edited the first post. Not sure where your belief I saw a different movie came from. That was kind of ridiculous.

Hey uh... I just realized... what the hell was the point of the divorce comments?

I think they might have cut a scene or two.
The dad did say something about "so much for one last family breakfast" or something.

the brothers talk about mail from divorce lawyers, when the mother and the aunt talk via phone they are in the middle of a divorce meeting with the lawyers, basically the kids were sent to the island to make some happy memories while the parents sneakily get shit done, dunno wether they call it off at the end or not, seeing as the movie ends right at the tearful reunion.

Yeah that was at the beginning when the parents were seeing their kids off at the airport (and then the mom said something like "Why do you have to say things like that?"). I expected some sort of return to that topic at the end when they were reunited, or else why bother even going there at all?
Maybe it's foreshadowing for Jurassic World 2!

Godzilla and the mini-Godzillas fighting Super Godzilla at the end was pretty fun to watch. This is probably how i'd rate it too. I went in to see a movie about the hubris of humanity and dinosaurs, mostly dinosaurs though. And i got dinosaur's worth all the money i spent on my ticket. CG was good and after the story got rolling there was almost non-stop dinosaur action until it ended. Also it was definitely full of homages to the first movie. Since i didn't expect anything from the story and just wanted dinosaurs i was entertained through and through. If you want to go watch it, go watch it for the dinosaurs. yep, went in with expectations like this and had a good time. would I watch it again? no but it was nice to look at real looking dinosaurs =D chris pratt was pretty good too. had a few laughs [...] i hate to be that guy, but why do they make every dinosaur so fucking unrealistic? no feathers [...] Actually... (they mention velociraptors and some others did have feathers, though - but like another poster explained, the Jurassic World dinosaurs had their DNA combined with other animals and are not the real deal)
edit: well, someone mentioned the same research above.

He's all broken up about the divorce that's happening, and is portrayed as weak, fragile, and seen as a little pussboi. But all of a sudden dinosaurs, so he is forced to man up and develop a strong independent mindset, and manages to be useful and shit by fixing old jurassic park car and zapping raptors in the back of a truck. In the end he's managed to cope with shit and develops from some "pussboi" to... just a boy..
At least that's how I saw that scene you mentioned. Also this movie wasn't too bad for under $10. I wouldn't pay more for that if you're watching at theaters though. The movie was... kinda everything I expected to be, with some interesting moments and concepts used. All the while all this shit that happens in the movie is impossible, like + Show Spoiler +getting raptors to fight for you against their temporary alpha, running in those goddamn highheels the woman was wearing the whole movie. Seriously, she was running from a goddamn T-rex in those things... but hey, that's what's movies are for right? Okay movie in the end
EDIT: also did anyone think the other thirsty older brother looked similar to arteezy? I thought they could be cousins or something

It's interesting you mention that, because I thought the little brother became more comfortable only because the older brother stopped checking out girls and listening to emo music for like two seconds and actually acted like a mature and responsible older brother for once, once he saw his younger brother was frightened.

Seriously, is it that hard to render CGI in daylight. And why the fuck are dinosaurs never injured by machine gun fire? Why would it be hard to render? They aren't drawing frames by hand.
Maybe they do it at night because poor night vision adds more element of danger to the characters. Easier to stalk your prey at night when nobody sees you coming. (not that this applies to dinos)
Also, maybe movies do this so they can get away with sub-par filming/editing/etc. Hard for audience to complain that a hair follicle is out of place when they can't see it!
