I'm kind of hoping that the current Kages are forced to finish the fight with Mandara to prove the next generation is always getting better, though I could see the Hokages stepping in to make the fight a bit more fair with the whole immortal zombie thing. I'd be okay if all the old Kages (except for Gaara and maybe Tsunade) died and were replaced by the younger ninjas so after the war it's a rebuilding phase with new leaders and new international relationships.

So the first hokage knows the 3rd hokage....not surprising since 3rd hokage is same generation as Tsunade. I don't think this chapter told us much. I mean, we already knew MS was activated through loss of a loved one. We already knew about the backstory to Itachi. I don't see what good is this meeting by Sasuke to ask the hokages rather than just fill his emotions with more grief / hate / change of mind.
Its a way of distinguishing him from Madara and Senju from Uchiha. diametrically opposite of Madara. Those two clans seem to be like two sides of the same coin. You will never see Uchiha characters act that way. They are just more serious and grim, and the 2nd just explained why in this chapter. That free spirit type/clownish but serious when need to be/happy personality type that you see here and in characters like Naruto and other Senju descendants. The only time you can say you saw hints of this in the Uchiha was when Obito was pretending to be Tobi and when Obito and Sasuke were young before they had their own personal traumas. Like Naruto was able to overcome his and still be the way he is but the former? Lifelong quests for revenge/end world.
Also the 3rd seems to be taking responsibility for ordering the massacre when I could of sworn Obito said that it wasn't him? I guess I will have to reread some things.

Its his responsibility as the Hokage to take the blame for the actions of the people beneath him even if ihe did not order the massacre.
Wow, not too bad of a chapter. Comic relief section into the buildup of suspense, during which he'll try to answer some deep questions and get philosophical with us, presumably.
Actually the first good chapter for quite a while. I like how Hashirama got some more character added to him Who would have thought that Tobirama is the serious one of them xD Also a little lulz for little Tsunade x3
Loved the moment when the first turned to the fourth. Also, why do these manga seem to love pulling the "love' card? I mean, did they really need it there? It came across as a bit awkward and out of place to me.
I like how even the characters are amazed that the god-like Hashirama is a joke character lol
I loved it. And the whole "Love" power they mention - it actually makes sense. Just doesn't make sense that fucking Sasuke is corrupt. Did he love his family that much or is he blind that the ones who he *truly* loves(which would be his team) are still there?
I'm calling it: Sakura dies in front of sasuke and he goes insane to kill madara.
I don't think Sasuke is convinced by the love talk-no-jutsu. He looks like he's about to snap and attack the kages. Also, why does he have MS and not EMS? Not enough emotion yet?
