1) This TV show deserves much, much, much more attention. For one because it is pretty good. But even more importantly the message and general idea of it is very very important 2) It is really emotional and it's quite hard stuff at times. The only complaint I have, that it has some logical flaws and some minor stuff. I really disliked the ending; do you think there will be a seasons 2??

The ending wich was the cruising on the road listening to music was awful. Season 2 is probably going to happen and if I had to guess it probably will go into mass school shooting.

+ Show Spoiler + 1. Clay's own deep anxiety and hallucination problems were magically fixed by rock climbing because they couldn't be arsed to deal with mental health issues. 2. The ending was poorly executed. 3. It could have been half as long and really dragged in parts (the book takes place in one NIGHT!) 4. It was EXTREMELY problematic in how graphically it depicted how effectively Hannah's tapes got revenge on all her enemies. Her suicide seemed a lot more like a weapon than I think it did in the book. Promoting suicide as a revenge tool was not their goal, but it sure was a great one. Otherwise it was really great. I think the tension related to + Show Spoiler + whether the counselor really deserved to be on the tapes the tapes themselves were Hannah's method of following his advice of telling him who it was in order to achieve retribution.

Getting depressed because a lot of humanity is made up of various flavours of shitbaggery and being unable to change the big picture because people won't or are incapable of change. Stupid people leading because their one skill is shifting blame and burying others. Ultimately devaluing human life and leading to the conclusion that saving life is pointless. I suppose they use mental illness because it would be too far for someone "educated" or in a respected job to come to a reasoned and rational conclusion such as that. Still will check it out on a good day!
