I'm baffled that there are so many people saying that this wasn't a rape. Disgusting.

He's overacting a lot, especially with his unnatural pronunciation, like he's in a Shakespearean play. I know the guy is a really good actor, and I know that the directors certainly don't tell any other actor to overact like that.. but for some reason Littlefinger sticks out with his over-the-top mysterious-guy-act. My thoughts exactly.

The only disgusting thing here is the amount of people who keep digging up this dead topic.

I don't see anything wrong in Littlefinger's acting.

It is so interesting going back to rewatch early episodes of season 1 and seeing so many characters that are now all dead even from a single episode -- Catelyn Stark, Ned Stark, Robb Stark, Maester Luwin, Ser Rodrick Cassel, Robert Baratheon, Jory Cassel, Septa Mordane, Lord Viserys, Kahl Drogo, Doreah, etc.
There are currently 5 books and there will be 7 in total. I wonder if there will be any characters that will make it from season 1 to the very last page of book 7. Book readers obviously don't know this since books 6 and 7 are not released yet, so this is exciting for all of us. Although everyone loves Tyrion and it's GRRM's favorite character (I believe), I think that Arya has the best claim to be the character that makes it all the way through. Who do you think?

Daenerys will definitely survive through Book 7
assume the dragons will be needed versus White Walkers
although I have no idea how White Walkers will be fleshed out story wise because the TV show might start declining in quality if White Walkers become a major plot point
having non-speaking bad guys doesn't make for interesting TV

I think the following characters are unlikely to die: Sansa Lord Varys Tyrion Reek Bran Hodor Cersei Arya Daenerys
Also, I really hope the following will stay alive: The Hound The Mountain Littlefinger Tywin Ser Barristan Bronn Ser Jorah

I think the two people spoiling future content with book talk should remove their post or mods needs to remove them. And if you wonder what you are spoiling... well you are telling viewers who is still alive in future seasons of GoT.

I agree wholeheartedly, come on guys there's another thread where you can talk about that!

Are you actually being serious? What makes you think we are book readers that are telling you the characters that will be alive in future seasons? I am not a book reader. I merely mentioned that book readers won't be able to spoil this question with their "speculations" because there are still 2 books left to be released. Nobody can tell you the answer to this question yet -- that is the point.

Even if you're not a book reader, speculation like that may invite other book readers to come here and innocently make an exact "predictions" of who is and who is not going to die. It's happened before with the red wedding.

Its sad to think that Hound could die. Like holy shit, if Hound dies I will literally cry
Or Bronn too... Seriously. Fuck this show if they kill either of them.
As much as I love Tywin's character, I dont see what else he could contribute. All we saw from him was all badassery and no weak points. He even raised his own deathflag by saying that he doesnt plan to see Casterly Rock alive again.

I just explained how it is impossible for book readers to be able to do that. The last two books are not released -- they don't know either. Even so, "speculating" about arguably the most shocking moment in the entire series in its exact circumstances like the Red Wedding is a much different case than guessing characters who will simply just be alive by the end, which AGAIN nobody can even answer. Unless you are David, Dan or GRRM posting here, nobody has the ability to spoil this.

well the future of the Mountain is dark and full of terror if the deal between tywin and oberyn martell is true .. however, if oberyn wants to end the Mountain's life in a fair fight, maybe it could be a backfire for him, it would be so GoT-esque.

Can someone explain to a dumb ass like me what Ser Davos' epiphany was when he was telling Stannis' daughter about the difference between smugglers and pirates?
|
I also didn't understand it at first, but the wiki sheds some light on it:
"Davos later joins Princess Shireen for another session of reading. When she asks him about the difference between a pirate and a smuggler, he tells her a story about when he was almost beheaded by the First Sword of Braavos. This gets his attention and he remembers that the Iron Throne have been having difficulty paying their debts back to the Iron Bank of Braavos. Realizing that, should the bank switch its support to Stannis, they would have the money they need to hire men from the Free Cities. With Shireen's help, he starts writing a letter to the Bank."

Theyre basically looking to hire mercenaries to fight the war for them now.

I was re watching from season 1.. And remembered how bad I wanted the Dothraki vs Westeros war. I hope it happens. Also Idk why appreciate it more on my 2nd time seeing the series.

I've got a serious problem, during last few months we have lost two most hated characters in tv series (one of those characters not from GoT, u may guess who was that) and the other one was Joffrey, so who would become my new charected to hate the most? :D I think I should start to hate Walder Frey and Balon Greyjoy (where is he?)

Theyre basically looking to hire mercenaries to fight the war for them now. Let's say the Iron Bank does comply and gives Stannis the money. If Stannis then defeats the Iron Throne, the bank won't have any chance to get the money back the Iron Throne is owing the bank. Thus, for the bank it would make more sense not to give the money to Stannis.
