There's probably a lot of plot holes but it's not bad. I enjoyed it. Tom Cruise plays the perfect sociopath because he used to be a scientologist so you see him and he's like the face of crazy.

A few flaws with the movie. But overall enjoyable to feel like a gangsta. Long movie. Not my genre. + Show Spoiler + I don't think they followed the story perfectly. I heard Ice Cube never visited Easy E in the hospital even though he said his hotel was across the street. There was a lot of heroism and hatred towards the police. I don't think all police officers were or are bad. There might be bad ones but probably not all of them. All the characters except Jerry and the guy from Ice Cube's studio were portrayed as heroes who fought the good fight by preaching reality. I think they removed a scene where Jerry tried to talk Easy E out of taking an assault rifle out in a parking lot to make him seem more like a greedy asshole.

Watch Inland Empire. Its almost like a sequel to MD. It will burn your mind to ashes (in a good way, of course) I agree though, Mulholland Drive is pure class.

Really enjoyable (like every MI movie except 2, this is my favorite current franchise pretty much), but it wasn't my favorite of them, just slightly below Ghost Protocol & the first movie. The impossible stunt heist was also not quite as breathtaking or as tense as those two. Top tier: Mission Impossible, MI:Ghost Protocol 2nd tier: Rogue Nation, MI:3 Crap tier: MI:2

Decent movie, nothing special though. It does however go over some interesting topics like: problematic parenthood without being overly abusive, ethics around mentally impaired, not being able to let go of the past, ... Actually more layered than you might give it credit at first glance. With that being said though, it might've portrayed certain things a little bit too superficial, but that might've just been part of the whole theme of the movie.

I like Simon Pegg (he reminds me of WhiteRa) but I really don't like rewatching this sort of movie

Pretty good. I expected it to be shit. None of my predictions for the movie that I gleaned from the trailer were true. Still more for younger adults, but you can definitely see what the flaws (due to youth) of the characters are. The man from Uncle Wow. Another great spy movie. Best one since Kingsmen.

Probably good, but the film makes me angry. Like the acting was good and the characters were good. + Show Spoiler + Bitch doesn't deserve Gabriel. Bastard Soldier's bride should've just sent him a letter. Old man needs to get out more and court ladies at a younger age so he doesn't end up in jail for this. She's so irrational and stupid. Gabe should've left her several times. She can't be tamed by him? What the fuck does that mean? English isn't made for men to express their feelings and not women. Plays pranks on old men. Marries the first "bad guy" she meets. Never really makes a choice, one of her options just ends up dying and the other goes to jail. She friendzones Gabe so hard, using him as a shoulder to cry on when her husband loves another more, and uses her money to gamble and pay for his wife. Like you know Gabriel is good for you, he's just not as exciting and you have other suitors. She literally told Gabe to leave because he expressed a perfectly good opinion of how she was harming others. Then called him back because she needed him to save the farm.

5/10 + Show Spoiler + really amazing action sequences. no coherent plot. no character development leading me to have no empathy for anyone. pointless grotesque scenes. when watching the movie you'd see a close up of some guy and i'd think... "so that's where Gearbox got the look of the Bandit Raider from in Borderlands", or "so this was the original concept for the Psycho"... i will say that the movie helped me understand Borderlands better... and even though i'm giving it a 5/10 it was not a total waste of time.

Yeah, I believe you're an MRA. The line "It is difficult for a woman to define her feelings in language which is chiefly made by men to express theirs" is so fucking brilliant and profound. Thomas Hardy nailed that shit 120 years ago, before first wave feminism even began. + Show Spoiler + Everdene is as irrational as any of her male counterparts. Gabriel's advances came at the wrong place and time which *gasp* is how a lot of real potential relationships flame out. She had zero relationship experience and was wooed by the exciting/lying option. Again, if you treat her by the same standard you'd treat male characters there's hardly anything irrational or surprising about this. The "right" guy made his move at the wrong time. That's how shit goes, especially when your initial reasoning is as shitty as Gabriel's was. Kicking Gabriel out was the incorrect decision, but again, her point was that he wouldn't have been so comfortable expressing that opinion if she were a man. He was comfortable talking back to her, even though she was significantly more powerful than him. She's the kingpin of that operation. There's literally thousands of examples in books and film where a male boss makes that decision, in order to solidify their position of power. When Coach Taylor does that shit, throw in an angry speech and Explosions in the Sky and we think it's the right decision. Honestly, you're only speaking from Gabriel's position and failing to realize 1) he has his own destructive tendencies and 2) 20-something year old men and women don't have a great grasp on the things that are most important to them, and you probably shouldn't fault her for that when she actually figures it out a lot sooner than most people do. It's like faulting an 18 year old girl for not acting like a 30 year old woman (keep in mind the age difference is probably approaching 10 years, if not more). Simply ridiculous.

Simply ridiculous. + Show Spoiler + She looks 30 and him 40. Imdb says the actress, Carey Mulligan, is 30. If they wanted to portray her as someone in her teens they should have picked someone in her teens. Perhaps some of the feminism is lost on us today considering the advances society has made towards gender equality. But if I saw a male talking back to his superior, after his superior explicitly asked for it, I don't think I'd cheer the male superior for then firing him. It's only later revealed that Gabriel was Everdene's childhood sweetheart. Like they'd known each other for a while when he first proposed. In the movie it looked like a premature proposal.

Bathsheba is 20 at the beginning of the novel, and I don't believe they knew each other before the very beginning. Where did you pick up on that in the film? She had just moved into that home when he proposes, basically based on her looks and some brief interactions.

Do you hate the genre? If MM is a 5 what's Age of Ultron? A 2? I'd be curious to know what recent films you rate ahead of MM. Not sure how you can say their's no coherent plot... it's just very simple and straightforward. I also found it quite easy to empathise with humans who get used as blood bags/whores and get pursued by an insane car possy.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1964418/ mission impossible Rogue nation , i had some weed so i coulnt follow it at all, but i do Remember them doing some really COol subtle arty things with many of the scenes Which makes this a must-watch. stuff like putting a FighT scene alongside orchestra music but not going so far as to choreograph it to make it seeM obvious. and loads of other stuff that i cant Remember but im sure was really Awesome and that i wasnt just high as shit. its felt like a bond Movie to me and also that they put in a load of smart subtle stuff just to make everything unique and interesting i turned age of ultron, the New Terminator and kingsman off after 30 mins or Less

Wtf dude? Did you, perhaps, mean to say Britt Robertson? On topic: Latest movie I watched was Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa It was nice to see, since I watched Fullmetal Alchemist (series) a couple of years ago and enjoyed that a lot. This movie isn't great and won't make sense to someone who didn't see the series. But if whoever did, I'd recommend it.
