And if you are talking about his injuries being a handicap then keep in mind Dofla already took a Red Hawk to the gut and w/e else Law threw at him before getting rekt. The thing is DD is shrugging off those injuries rather easily compared to Luffy. Luffy need assistance to beat DD. Naww Luffy got this, gonna see Law dead go SSJ and Kamehameha the fuck out of DD.. Wait.. Okay maybe Sabo shows up for help.
Or even better, Fuji comes in to take out DD!

did law at least put trebol out of condition?
|
|
an armless law without his sword doesn't stand any chance at all 1v2 against doflamingo + trebol. i think it is possible that law is dead.
But then again, I think doflamingo is still at least slightly inclined to keep law alive for the moment, for the ope ope fruit in hopes of immortality. and the possibility of law being revived somehow (by mansherry or other) is there

There is a 0% chance that someone like Law would be killed "off-screen". No way in hell. A character as important as him, who just got voted like #2 or #3 most popular character in the entire manga, and gets killed off-panel? You must be dreaming.

Ikr? Who does he think he is, George R. R. Martin.?
Inb4 Sanji also killed off panel.

One thing this is bothering me, but could be addressed with Sabo joining the fight, is Donflamingo has not tried to use his mind control strings directly on his opponents this arc. It's one his most powerful abilities and strongest if successful. Physical strength alone probably doesn't work as he could use it against Whitebeard captains that were likely much physically stronger than Donflamingo. The counter measures would be dodging, a devil fruit or haki. This attack would seem really useful against Luffy who does struggle against tricky moves. I could see it being countered by Law's DF which could swap the controlled target, Sabo's and any logia might be able to escape the string by becoming elemental, but I don't think Luffy's rubber gives any immunity.
It was Donflamingo's signature move before he fought real opponents. So I would like to see it defeated.

More about him killing popular characters and not the off-screen part.

Oh, well Law might die. He just won't die off-panel.

Worked on Jozu and Sanji
inb4 "Sanji is weak"

On March 07 2015 14:42 Sentenal wrote: Worked on Jozu and Sanji
inb4 "Sanji is weak" controlling them is mcuh different from stalling them and in both cases he had the element of surprise TBH if he can get his strings on someone makes more sense to just cut them with them then try to manipulate Luffys not going to be taht easily caught and he can stretch so even if he cant move he can still attack to a certain degree
|
he could be dead and we see his death in a flashback or something
or it could be a dead puppet law
|
Yes I know it is not literally mind control and I had forgotten Donflamingo was able to restrain Sanji with his puppet strings. It's not a matter of being weak, the strings can control Jozu and Atmos who are Whitebeard commanders and restrain Sanji. It hasn't been shown to be a hard move to land and strings are close to being invisible. Sanji has observation haki and is the most mobile SH yet was restrained by them. When it does land it didn't seem that difficult for Donflamingo to manipulate Jozu, Donflamingo didn't fight at the same time though he didn't' need to. It probably could stop Luffy from stretching just like it controls muscle movement.

and i disagree with your assesment on Jozu as well, Jozu didnt seem much like he was trying to move at that point with Dofla and Croc both there and i dont think it controls muscle movement like you think just pulls there body to move how he wants

I sooo can't wait for the zoro fight vs pica in the amime now because of how ridiculous Pica's voice is.

Luffy getting caught by Doflamingo's puppet attack would be just like him though LOL. Luffy basically falls for every gimmick attack at least once before figuring out how to deal with it. I guess it wouldn't make sense for him to get hit by it with all his observation haki and being in the middle of a battle but I'm sure Oda could make some joke out of it. Maybe have Luffy vs Sabo next chapter x)

Then sabo just burns the strings.
