I prefer to have Reiju dead and help the progress of Sanji while adding Carrot!
Not that I want Reiju dead but anyhow I doubt she will ever become a crew member. I remember someone mentioning the possibility of Reiju to lead Germa into a better country, which I find a nicest of all possibilities but the deathflag isn't something we can really deny given the many opportunities it gives for other plots to develop.
Also shame we didn't get Brook action idd but let's hope we can expect something big after this break.
Like always tho, we can only let Oda work his magic :p

Too many death flags is an anti-death flag.
There was no death flag whatsoever on Ace or Whitebeard for that matter. I seriously thought the rescue was going to succeed.
|
I think they will "defeat" big mum since:
A) no wedding B) Sanji rejoins SH's and they all live C) SH's get the copy of the poneglyph D) German escapes and later become allies/underlings os SH's
But Big Mum might get the tech she wants

Still have no clue what power up Sanji can get. By emotional breakthrough (triggered by the death of the sister), finally his super genes are activated and then he destroys everything.
not sure what I would like to see now, still getting impressed by oda, just enjoy the ride. One thing I don't want to see is jinbe die lol

Ace was a bit different. I actually believed he would die but was hoping he wouldn't. Reason being: he would completely overshadow Luffy in the story and the world as a whole. He was essentially Luffy +3 years of maturity/power/influence growth. He had the D and was already very, very powerful before the timeskip. If he survived (and whitebeard died), he would easily be either the Pirate King or a Yonku by now.

(Im already in anticipation of oda proving me wrong, though)
My estimation would be that in this arc Sanji proves that super genes are not what makes you strong, and that feeling love etc do in fact have a positive effect on one's life. If the family realizes this as well after some crazy fight, the path to baratie being safe is also open.

I don't think he will need the super genes because he will be the only one that can use Haki. At least of the brothers. Maybe Judge can use it. I don't think we saw him use it yet right? but they were surprised that Sanji could

All we know right now is that Sanji is stronger than Yonji, the rest might be stronger than him. We don't know how powerful the other two brothers are.

Sad that Brook got offpaneled but carrots artstyle almost makes up for it ^^
|
That art style is fantastic. I love how that played out, just a little change to the usual "Look how awful they are at drawing" trope.
The trust that Luffy has in Sanji. Fuck yes. Man, stuff like that just hits all the right spots for me.

Wtf with the "egg-chicken-fruit" ? xD That's so strange, I don't know how I feel about it xD

Could Luffy be planning to return to baratie?

No, he's probably going back to fetch his lost teeth.
I think Luffy would not mind going back to the Baratie to save a friend's family, it's in his character. But I really don't think that it's going to happen as it would have a negative impact over the flow of the story.
|
Yeah that probably makes more sense. He needs his teeth to chew food.
|
Luffy is going back to that spot where he was captured, where he said he would wait until Sanji returned.

They made a note of not finding anything on Brook's person. I feel like that's Oda telling us Brook actually has the rubbing stored somewhere hidden and is biding his time to escape. Also learned that the hat she wears is also a soul now.
|
It might be hidden in Brook's skull
