The position of the world government is that beyond 300 million increasing the bounty to attract better bounty hunters (which is the main goal of a bounty) is useless , as even the best bounty hunters will go for a prey in that price range. So beyond 300 million the world government is only increasing the bounties to express the relative danger of the individuals to them. While the bounties of Apoo at 350 million and Kidd at 470 million might be functionally the same from the perspective of bounty hunters, it shows that the government cares more about stopping Kidd than Apoo. Since the government is using bounties for such a purpose there is no risk of exponential risings in bounties, more rather of bounty increases tapering off. However, based on other known bounties, I think there still is room for Luffy's bounty to grow right now, to express how much he has improved in the last two years and the magnitude of this new incident with Doflamingo. I think a bounty of 550 million would be very fitting as that was the bounty of Ace.

Like oda is being unfaithful to his own story. Tontattas are filler? o_o Do you just want the manga to be a succession of Luffy fights without any story? When you have an element which you can remove to no determent to the overall story, it's filler. I'm not saying all tonattas are filler but there are many scenes with them that you could remove and nothing would change. Same with the factory boss. Notice how we didn't know about the factory boss until she appeared in her chapter? There was no set up. There was no point to it. She could not exist and we'd still have everything going on in the same way. All she is is white space. Filler. but then you have a hollow stripped down story with no depth that just races through the arcs without actually fleshing anything out
There's no more reasoning to be had here, move on.
Also that art looks bad

Massive jumps to me would be like 30m->100m, or 100m->300m. They were all massive jumps, and were portrayed as such. But at this point, if we get another massive jump with 400m at the base, then I'm going to call foul. I can stomach 550m, but it better not double or something. 400m is already incredibly high.

He's already spilled Tenryuubito blood though by hitting Saint Charloss. Since doing that + invading Impel Down + being Dragon's son + attacking Marineford to save Ace only netted him a gain of 100 million, from 300 to 400, its evident that when you reach that stage increasing your bounty is incredibly difficult. Rayleigh also said as much.

i wouldnt call that implying at all, the CP0 trusted him to kill Moria, if DD was blackmailing them then he could ahve used that to blackmail them further, i wouldnt be surprised if he "attacked" the "heavens pay" ship as a cover story to get his share of the loot
at any rate theres no real evidence that DD and the tenryuubito are at odds with each other, they helped him deal with law by manipulating the newspaper if they wanted him out of the way they could have let law and luffy go straight at him and used the admiral to make sure everything gets done cleanly so seems like they dont actually plan to do away with him
|
DD steals from the Tenryuubito and blackmails them, and probably killed some of them with his own hands, and yet you think they aren't at odds. Classic Forikorder.

When has DD confirmed killed any Tenryuubito? Can't use his brother as evidence because that hasn't been explained at all yet. All we know is Law is "avenging" him apparently. Also he is a Tenryuubito or "was" I guess now (again not explained at all), he can't really steal something that belongs to him.

Doflamingo also killed his Father. And they outright say he was raiding ships that were carrying Tribute for the Tenryuubito.

Classic Forikorder. okay so because he might have stolen some chump change from them, and PROBABLY killed some (Which are your OWN words) you think its ridiculous to think that they could ever be friends and must be mortal enemies despite all the support hes gotten from them this arc
and you really think that the Tenryuubio would allow someone to live after killing a tenryuuibito? just slapping one is enough to have an admiral death team sent after them
|
If he stole "chump change", Forikorder, he would not have enough to blackmail them. You do know what blackmail is, right?
|
If the Tenryuubito status is hereditary (which is heavily implied by labeling them nobility and referencing the blood of the world's creators), and DD killed anyone in his family, it logically follows that he's killed at least one other Tenryuubito.

at any point in time they want they can point at someone and that person will immediately be taken to Marijoas to be there slave and they can kill anyone they want whenever they want
