meaning that when Luffy was fighting Chinjao, Luffy won in the end because he had stronger haki and that will happen against DD also.. i bet DD also has conqueror's haki but will lose to luffy in a haki punch vs haki punch simply because he will have the strongest haki of them all just like Garp had a stronger punch because his haki was stronger
You dont have to bet, we already know that he has Conqueror Haki.
You can use Conqueror Haki to frighten your oppennent, watch Luffy vs 100000, Hody was about to shit in pants.
It probably diminishes someone's fighting power. So when small fry gets hit, they instantly faint. I imagine it's like Luffy one-hitting small fry with a single punch. That punch, which takes out small fry instantly, also affects the big fish. Conqueror's Haki, is, I guess, akin to damage over time or something. Opposing conqueror's Haki can push against it with their own.
Not sure how everyone doesn't get it... CH is just a manifestation of their will power. Its in every shounen manga out there, check the manga kingdom. The artist draws people physically larger when someone confronts their ideas and will as an interpretation of their will power. Its the same idea in one piece except theres a reason and method to 'friendship' powerups or being stronger just because like in most other shounen mangas.
The more hell you go through the stronger your will gets, its why no one in the crew fainted when reyleigh used it at the slave trade. All of their resolve has been tempered by going through shit on their entire journey. People without any resolve will faint in front of these guys because their will completely dominates them. When luffy used it on that bull it wasn't anything special, luffy demanded it stopped so it did. It's will failed so it had to comply, same with the amazons. Few people can manifest it so that's why everyone thinks its a big deal when no one knew who luffy was but he could do it.
Right now its DF's will of being taken from a nobel to shit and having his entire family die for whatever reason. Add that to his drive to take down all of the nobels. Thats going up against luffy and everything he believes in. Thats why bad guys get a flashback, not to turn them good eventually its to show you their reasons to being the way they are and why they think their right up against what luffy does and why he thinks its right. Its a class of ideas and who believes in their idea more.
The guys that reach the end of the redline have had their will/goals/ambition tempered more than anyone. Thats the king, the one with the strongest will power.

Um no, they didn't faint because Reyleigh didn't target them.

he wouldnt have gone full power he used enough power to make normal people faint and the remainder survived
even when Luffy used it on fishman island there was still tons of small fry who didnt faint

Uhhh, he says in the manga that they're not normal people because they didn't faint.
Haoshuko/golden colored/Conqueror's Haki can suppress people to the point they faint or intimidate people. I think we all agree with that.
That it causes actual shockwaves has not been proven without a doubt. Haoshuki haki appearing has been shown as shockwaves that travel from the user and knock out people. Also haoshuko haki has first appeared involuntarily in Luffy when he was very agitated in the Marinford War.
So, and that is my opinion, I choose to believe that haoshuko haki users tend to have accidental outbursts when they are agitated, like for example in a heated fight(Luffy vs. Don Chinjao). And while shockwaves "appear" I think it is -just like limbs turning black for busoshuko haki- just a visual queue to let the audience know what happens.
And that is still important for Luffy, because One Piece is not about power of a single man, but about making allies and leading. People with Conqueror's Haki are born leaders: Inspiring men with big goals. The World Government already has taken note of Luffy not only for his CH, but also for him having so many allies suddenly during the Marinford War. Ivankov, an important member/leader of the revolutionary army and even Whitebeard's commanders directly supported Luffy during the Marinford War. Afterwards he was helped by Silvers Rayleigh, Jinbei and Law to get out alive. And most of these people he only just met the day before the Marinford War.
I've always wondered about that scene when Shanks enters Whitebeard's ship with his haki rocking out freely. The ship seems to get damaged by it (more apparent in the anime). So it's possible that CH has physical effects too.
When did the black coloured limbs thing start? It feels like one day oda decided to start showcasing it in the anime and then only after it started appearing in Manga as well.

Started posttimeskip and was probably intended by Oda to let the viewers know when Armament haki is used because it would be a common thing in the new world. Definitely started in the manga.

That is too early in the manga. Oda didn't had the Haki stuff all figured out yet.

That doesn't mean it can't dmg ships and surroundings.....Shanks is probably the strongest current C.Haki user. bar maybe Dragon.

That's true, never even thought of that. How insane
I like how people just speculate that Dragon has strong haki. Yes, it was said most big shots are able to use haki. Doesn't mean that someone's bounty = his powerlevel = his haki proficiency.
I actually dislike the whole "colored limbs" thing. It makes every fight seem the same. I liked Haki when it was vague. When you'd kick a logia and they'd go HUHH because they didn't expect your foot to make contact. Nowadays many fights are just two guys beating on each other with black arms and legs. Just to name a few: 1. Luffy vs. Chinjao 2. Luffy vs. Zephyr 3. Luffy vs. World 4. Vergo vs. Smoker It also doesn't help that people can go full black mode with haki when they're 'advanced'. This basically means that every fight between high level pirates will be two fully black guys slogging it out. Haki right now seems more like a devil fruit rather than a natural form of combat. It's too invasive. It draws too much attention instead of being in the background like it should and always has been up until the time skip.

In the case of Dragon, it absolutely makes sense that he has strong haki.

i doubt well ever see another Haki user like Vergo, maybe one or two more but certainly not so common as to have 2 of them fight each other
