plus Tiger did a pretty good job of getting "your safe now" through to her so i doubt shed have anything close to crippling trauma left, even Hancock who porbably had it rougher didnt have it amazingly bad in the trauma department it wasw pretty much just the one sister who would actually lose it

Granted, we haven't seen it from her since she was with the Sun Pirates, but the experience of being a slave, even for a short time, was enough to really fuck with the likes of Fisher Tiger and all three Gorgon sisters. I'd be surprised if Koala had overcome what became a lingering demon to those other people. unless they were actively remembering the events of there capture the gorgon sisters were fine, Hancock even went to mariejoas and fought and was perfectly fine plus compared to there torture Koala would have just been cleaning unlike Hancock who got literally tortured and used for amusement combine that with her age at the time and id say if anything it would be very wierd if she was as bad as the rest

Not sure how old she was when she was first caught by arlong but if she was 6 years old that's 10 years. Nami was enslaved longer than koala was alive when she was released by tiger. Sure nami had more freedom but she was enslaved alot longer and had a pretty messed up story line seeing as her captors killed her mother and forced her to work for them. Sure there's memories but everyone seems to be over exaggerating this. Koala saw people killed in front of her just for crying or messing up compared Nami to Koala isnt really a good comparison Arlong wanted Nami in one piece

Koala's tattoo got removed by Fisher Tiger, so there is nothing that haunts and reminds her of her past. Then tell me, why is she in the Revolutionary Army, if she has no baggage from back then? Although I guess its pretty cool how in One Piece, memories are tattoo'd into people, rather than being inside their brain, right? First you associate any sort of trauma to be some sort of "crippling emotional trauma", while saying Koala didn't have it that bad, but now you are saying her trauma is tons worse than Nami's? Maybe I'm misunderstanding you. i dont get why you think your first thought at all im saying compared to the gorgon sisters and tiger, Koala had it easy she just had to shut up, clean and be ignored compared to Nami though she had it far far worse, Nami at least had hope, a "safe" environment and family she could spend some time with

I think its hard to say at this point if there is any lingering emotional trauma from her experiences because she hasn't really spoken much yet and its always been within the context of whats going on now so her character is just focusing on the situation now. It certainly seems like the gorgon sisters have the most lingering trauma (I forget did Oda imply they were raped or did he not take the inference that far?). Nami has only shown flashes of it when Fishmen were involved but ever since Luffy literally kicked the shit out of her demons she has coped quite well. Koala definitely had some PTSD type trauma going on when they showed her as a child but who knows at this point how much it drove her future motivations (outside of the fact that she knows Fishman karate and is a substitute teacher for it).
