Suddenly chill out and sports and whatever. And Vilkiss is OP as fuck, who needs repair when the it can self-repair
Also joining the fun that seems to be happening in the past few pages, fuck Slaine.
Nah, I kid. Haven't watched the new season yet, is it as bad as people saying it is? I have no problem with stuff being cliche or badly-written or whatever, but I kinda hate it that people don't die when they are killed lol
haha ya some ridiculous filler episode. And then ya now that it is gundam+macross+eva. why so strong this mech lol
Wasn't really a fan of mecha so didnt watch either Gundam/Macross/Eva, only Code Geass so far, but yeah this Vilkiss mech is super duper strong. Will probably watch NGE at some point. Macross/Gundam seems to be a series with many spin offs, a bit confused as to what to watch.

can't win them all
Anything less than death is probably lame excuse, but death is boring. + Show Spoiler +
One day Kaori would just reveal to Kousei that she wasn't sick or anything. She was just really clumsy and tripping herself and hitting her head on the ground as she fell, knocking her unconscious. Those millions tablets and pills were just vitamins and supplements and nothing more. Happy ending.

She seems to have died already(it's heavily implied anyway), next chapter is the last
Aw, i was hoping manga and anime both end at the same time in April lol so lame XD, but next chapter is next month (?) and anime still have about 2months (?) to go

The author could do a schrodingers cat and leave it to the viewers imagination .

I think I'd hate this even more than the obvious(death), the cliche (ohhh, im okay now, your music reached my heart and saved me), just because leaving it unresolved gives me the hugest blue balls. I'd love to see there be some unique ending to it, but I feel like it's a lose-lose, lol.

Uhhhh, I don't think it's that accurate to describe Eva as something with tons of drama.
The original NGE TV series is, I feel, divided into two parts. The first half is a sort of episodic show about a young boy with a serious case of "I'm a pussy" who pilots a robot to defeat alien invaders, referred to as "Angels." The show operates on a monster of the week format and, for the most part, displays some pretty unique ways of taking down the Angels. There's character development here and there, but the primary focus is on finding inventive ways of tackling each Angel, which all have varying abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. If there's drama, it doesn't really take any significant role in the story.
At one point, though, I think the studio behind NGE started running out of money, and Anno was also undergoing a serious case of depression. At this point, this is where the show just takes a massive nosedive for a lot of people (or alternatively a huge boost depending on what you like) because the episodic elements go away and whole episodes are spent on panning shots, minute long silences, and long, drawn out monologues, some to do with philosophy, others with the main character's psychological state. Again, not that much drama, but admittedly more than before.
All of this culminates in a final two episodes that bear no resemblance to the animation quality of the first 10-14 episodes. Some people hate it because they feel it's been reduced to philosophical pandering that's just trying to be deep but in reality is just pretentious garbage (which is pretty credible considering that Anno threw in a bunch of Christian symbolism along with other religious icons specifically because they, and this is paraphrasing his words, "look cool"). Others think that the ending is great because it's a great example of solipsism and the main character's development through various motifs and his role in the story was really well developed at the end.
I think when people say that Eva is a must watch, I think people say that because it's such an influential and simultaneously controversial anime (in the West at least) that it'd really be a shame not to watch it. NGE may not have invented a lot of tropes, but they certainly brought a lot of them to the forefront and definitely exaggerated a ton of them in the process.
The first 12/14 episodes are also super fun and have some of my favorite monster of the week type episodes I've seen, and the way that NGE shows the people in the show just preparing to fight the Angels was super well done. Anno is a superb director in his own right and his ability to place his "camera" at certain angles and highlight a character through a still alone is pretty impressive, imo. NGE might be worth a watch for some of those elements alone.
End of Eva is also my favorite anime movie just because I loved how weird it got. + Show Spoiler [NGE] +
fucking tang and hospitals. Anno what a fucking god
.
edit: also don't talk about eva too much in here
pretty sure 90% of the vets hate it with a passion :3
Evangelion is one of the most influential animes ever made, so is worth a watch for that reason alone IMO. Eva took a lot of old mecha anime tropes and then put a new spin on them, or at the very least, popularized an unconventional spin on them.
Or, some people simply love EVA because of Rei, the humanoid mechs, and the angels. Or Asuka the tsundere.Or misato. Or Gendo, for the ladies who have refine taste in men (cough).
And for many girls out there, Nagisa, probably one of the earliest yaoi symbol back there.
That reminds me of that i still need to watch 3.0....

eva is amazing because it developed a realistic world and characters then put a grisly and increasingly horrifying twist on their reality
its a lot like any apocalypse show . think of something like The Walking Dead, but with way better characters and interactions (misato + kaji, ristuko + gendo, shinji + asuka) and a creepier, more mysterious and more terrifying story (i guess the threat of getting 1-shot by a zombie is pretty terrifying if you have an investment in a character but i dont remember anyone giving a shit about the characters in the walking dead, correct me if i'm wrong)
i liked 3.0 , just didnt like the way they handled the battle climax at the end

ZNF: Gunbuster vs Eva, which do you like more
Neck and neck. One day I'll favor Gun/Diebuster over Eva, and another day it'll be the other way around. I think emotionally I'd probably say Gun/Diebuster connected more with what I could guess be generally called "the feels" so that extent Gun/Diebuster is better. But Eva has a lot of things I enjoyed over Gunbuster too, so I guess it's up to what I'm feeling that day.
