the very beginning of the movie (first 10-15 minutes I guess?) are actually the weakest of the movie for me.
It was good, but everything afterwards (basically after grandma teaching Mitsuha and Yotsuha about threading) was 10/10.

Her being in his body in school, all the shit he's doing in her body when he's in school for her etc. I think I enjoyed those parts the most myself

It was a slow start but it ramped up.

Who would've known that a harem can actually have a legit nice ending. Best girl won as well, first time it ever happens in an anime I've watched! lol. Story overall was pretty cute and nice, nothing too crazy considering the synopsis. My only complaint which isn't big is that does the MC really have to see most of the girls naked at some point? Some rite of passage maybe? lol. i know absolutely nothing about the anime, but I'm a huge fan of the Honeyworks utaite Sana, and one of the main heroine's name is Sana. So unless she won in the end, then the anime is trash tier. Well, if you really want to know: + Show Spoiler + Sana lost in the end, worst character ever! The typical "she acts nice but hates your gut then she starts to like you and cries her eyes out when you don't reciprocate" lol. She was also clingy to her senpai who ended up beating everyone else and ended up with MC! On March 22 2017 23:11 Miragee wrote: Finished the Black Lagoon OVAs. The ideas explored in the show were great and I like how they displayed the Shogi battles, even though I don't know the significance of said moves, however, I think the pacing was too slow and the show squandered some of its potential. The MC kept swimming around in the deep end for most of the show and almost felt like he never moved forward. It'll look like he's planning to move forward then he back traces imo. The show tries hard to show the struggles he faced and yes, they are great but I think they overdid it. I've lost count how many times they've brought up his history or showed that he can't do something. I didn't mind the comedy aspect though I have to agree with whoever mentioned that the show switching from being serious to being comedic is a somewhat bad idea. The serious aspect lost its meaning when that happens. Akane and her sisters were a great addition and part of what I enjoyed about the show but they never made much of an appearance in the second half on the advice, except for a couple of times. The grandfather's advice is understandable and played a role but even then, more appearances would've been nice. I can't really say which half I enjoyed the most (second half had its perks) but at times, the anime felt extremely boring. There was no excitement factor to speak of and I stopped watching for several weeks at one point. I do like the OP, ED and hope that the show gets better in the second season! I think he made a quite bit of progress. By the end of the show he visits the three sisters on his own whim. This might seem to be small when compared to other shows but in reality it's a giant step in the right direction. I liked that a lot. As for Monogatari: Just teasing you, I don't actually think you have to watch it. I just think it's funny that it's hovering on your list "on-hold" since before I got to know you. :D + Show Spoiler + maybe so but I know that I didn't sign up to watch a guy mope for so many episodes lol. I don't even think it's that. As I said earlier, it's hard to move on but kept on making him backtrack every time he made some advancement. Yes, it's a big step which is a good thing but I think they could've accomplish the same feat with less episodes dedicated to MC clinging to his terrible past etc... haha it's because I want to make a legit effort to try the series but I kept on finding anime that I know I'll likely enjoy more so I watched 3 episodes and put it on hold till I feel like it XD On March 23 2017 04:53 Toadesstern wrote: Show nested quote + On March 22 2017 23:11 Miragee wrote: Finished the Black Lagoon OVAs. It's just that he isn't willing to drop it and just say it. On the other hand, back in the days when zoo-polls were still a thing the monogatari game was a lot stronger in here so perhaps he was afraid to admit that he doesn't like it? But then again, it's not like anyone is giving Sent crap for not liking the series. And he's fairly vocal about it this theory doesn't hold much water. I already came out and said I didn't like Full Metal Panic and got crap for it. You think I'll be concerned about saying I hate Bake? ^^

Yes. scarred? nah, not really. I just didn't want to dismiss it by watching 3 episodes when there's another couple of seasons that I can guarantee I'll like if I like Bake. It's like watching 3 episodes of the original Macross, saying you don't like it and never watched anything macross-related. Also, wrong opinion? never knew opinions can be wrong. Guess that's good to know. I'll keep that in mind when I watch Legend of the Galactic Heroes

I mean I'm one of these people. Have been brainwashed to think it's amazing, tho I've never seen a single episode. Hell, some 10 years ago I even uploaded the entire thing onto a local torrent site, yet I never watched it myself.

I'll keep that in mind when I watch Legend of the Galactic Heroes ANN are currently having a kind of "lets watch old stuff" series and they picked Bakemonogatari! 1 episode per week with a review and all. They currently at ep 10 though There never was a better time to watch it! Except for maybe week1 when they did this On the opinions: "in my opinion Elem is not a lolicon". See, instant wrong opinion. Or "Shigure is not best boat" also easily wrong
