Why would cover artists have something on jpopsuki when they haven't released anything like a single or album.
also, the song you're looking for was never released as a single or on any album. Naturally, it wouldn't have a dl on jps since the audio quality would be too bad if you just downloaded the video and converted it to a mp3 or anything else. Once it's released on a CD like her 1st cover album was (and is on jps too btw), then the song will be available to download.

you looking for the cover artist? or original artist? the cover artist is probably too small to have made any albums/cds? her youtube page only has like 4 cover songs on it.
In other news, the onee-san in yurucamp wins sibling of the year award imo...

I remember the big LOGH Group Watch in this thread a while back, which was excellent and produced lots of good talk. People should watch LOGH. Even BigFan gave in and watched it, and liked it. To be fair, I've watched a shit ton of shows before I even attempted to watch LoGH because I was that curious about the various genres and stories out there. I do agree though, if someone is looking for a space anime on an extremely large scale (largest in all the anime I've seen thus far) and doesn't mind old animation (seems fine to me tbh), then LoGH is worth a try at least.
Edit: Miragee, you wanted to know my thoughts on Fushigi Yuugi a while back. I believe that I've watched around 20 episodes of it so far, haven't watched an episode in about 2 weeks though. Overall, it's not a terrible watch thus far but the heroine is always someone who needs to be rescued. Sure, she's got guts but meh, always needing someone to rescue you is kinda annoying. Also, expect a lot of hugging and such (lol) almost every episode.
The story itself isn't bad per se but the motivation of one of the main players seems really off/bad/bizzare/stupid w/e and personally, made me a bit mad. Felt like it could be sorted it just a bit if an actual discussion took place. Can't say much without revealing anything. Characters do have good chemistry which is quite enjoyable and the animation is fine. The pacing varies imo but other than the above, maybe give it a 3-4 episode rule then decide.

Well to each his own i guess
You sound like me 2-3 years ago. :D Anyways, I changed my behavior a little bit since then but at the moment I seem to move back to how I handled things back then. Currently I pick some shows to try in the beginning of a season. Some I will put on hold to watch in one go later. Those are mostly shows that I deem to be a definite watch but would be annoying for me to watch weekly because they either have annoying cliffhangers (cliffhangers are bullshit, period) or would suffer from the long gaps between the episodes because I forget some of the details presented in previous episodes. I like to watch episodic shows and shows that are discussed because I enjoy discussion. That said, it has been a while since I watched an anime weekly that has also been discussed here weekly. I also tend to drop quite a few shows after the first few weeks...
Then again, when I look at my backlog, I feel like I have watched most of the gems of my favourite genre in anime - dystopian sci-fi - which is kind of sad.

she isn't kobasolo, she's harutya. Kobasolo is the dude who brings cover artists together and hosts them on his channel. Kind of like Boyce avenue. I did download that one, but it only has 2 songs involving her, and they're not the ones I want.

oh i see what you mean.
Well she's not an artist in the sense that she doesn't fill the criteria that would allow her to be uploaded to jps. A lot of the music videos she has done has not been released on cd unfortunately. Can't even buy her on itunes. The best bet you have is to dl the video and covert it to some audio format yourself. Or wait.

yup, I just downloaded off youtube, very subpar quality, but it'll have to do I guess It just pains me that this problem is pretty much only around in JP music. I mean, other countries/languages have covers too, but they don't have so many _good_ ones, where a lot of good artists don't even get the exposure they deserve, and I can't get my share of fanboying.. like even if you were willing to pay for the songs, getting them off jp websites is at the very least a huge pain, and at the most not even possible (not sure which one it is).
I also found a whole channel of songs/covers I like, and none of their stuff is downloadable anywhere either

Did you try to DL the 720p version? Up to 720p the audio quality also increases on youtube. Then again, it's still just 128 kbs or so.

how do you pick? afaik the youtube link doesn't change based on the quality of video you pick anymore. i think there used to be an &fmt=18 or something thing back in the day though.. is that what you mean?

I know I'm behind on this series that I have put off, can I just say that Made in Abyss' 13th episode is one of the absolute best I have ever seen. The rest of it I have had mixed feelings on but that final episode has made me so hopeful for the future seasons.

Yeah, I actually re-watched that ep yesterday. The goodbye to mitty scene is one of the best scenes in anime as a whole imo.

lol just watched this Darling in the FranXX thing. Good stuff. Good stuff

Watched Violet Evergarden ep 1 and 2. i must say in both episodes I was captivated by the art and the story line. Obviously very early but if this anime continues on this path, I'll give it my AotY.

We should have an LOGH rewatch. Maybe we can even sucker some newbies into watching it too!
That said, I usually don't watch more than one or two episodes a day. If I watch more than that, things start to blend together and it gets difficult to remember some finer details. I like to watch things slowly and give myself plenty of time to digest and analyze them.

If you can't find stuff on Jpopsuki, Nyaa, /jp/, and the like, it must be truly hipster.
True suffering is liking some doujin music artist just to find out that they only release their works at conventions like Comiket and M3, with nothing available in online stores like Booth, Bandcamp, Melonbooks, etc.

Uhm, it has been a while since I used the desktop app of the youtube converter but I'm pretty sure you could choose the quality in the options.
On another note: I restarted watching NGE at the start of this year again after putting it on hold after 2 episodes last summer. Watched those again because it had been too long. I finished it this time. Thoughts:
+ Show Spoiler +- I felt like the anime had an existential crisis. I couldn't figure out what it wanted to be. A normal mecha as an excuse for the animators to animate some cool looking fights? A Japanese highschool drama with tons of clichés? Dystopian sci-fi with political intrigue? Simple military drama? Fanservice galore? I still don't know since the ending somehow scraped everything and made the anime solely about the MC's self-discovery.
- The whole anime was incredibly pretentious. Randomly throwing pseudo-scientific terms at the viewer doesn't mean it's deep... It just means nothing. The whole ending was also handled incredibly bad. 6 episodes to scratch some surface questions of self-discovery and decision-making? bleh.
- Christian symbolism was ok. I felt like it didn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, even though it should have, but at least it made some sense. However, I don't understand why they added it but then didn't touch the topic of "humans playing god" too much.
- I don't get all the hate for Shinji. Easily the best character out of the three pilots. The two girls were utter garbage. He surely was a bit annoying at times but certainly relatable considering the circumstances.
- What is it with all those mecha shows that have pretty much the same premise? There is a crisis and they have giant robots (prototypes) and nobody who can really pilot it. But then the MC is the Chosen! He has never piloted a robot but gets thrown into a fight situation where the destruction of a whole city is at stake. And of course he miraculously manages to pilot the robot in a way nobody ever expected him to do and barely wins the fight (which in itself doesn't make any sense because they basically send him out to prevent a disaster but what they think a perfect pilot could achieve wouldn't even be enough to defeat the enemy, according to how the fight played out...). Then in the following episodes, they throw some more faceless enemies at the MC, basically following the monster of the week idea.
In the end I think the show tried to be too many things at once and just failed at all of those points. It was fairly enjoyable in the middle, just not as the "deep" anime many praise it as. I heard The End of Evangelion makes more sense as an alternative ending of the series. I will probably watch soon.
