Or am I misremembering that and it was about some other series? Been such a long time

It's the same story, the characters are just tortured differently. Who cares about cardboard cutout characters? The track record of the new one is horrible.

Mostly because while the part that's with the stand does seem to be fairly flat, the part stuck in her hair had a chip in it and ended up uneven. Most likely from my innitial attempt to get it out with a tweezer. So either way I wanted to try and make it flat on both ends. Machine was on 343°C and letting it cool down to ~160 would have taken at least half an hour so I just yolo'd. It did melt within seconds and I put it together. Was working somewhat fine but fairly unstable and a small twist made it come off again very easily. Could have supported the weight of her hair standing up but probably not the whole figure. So on to Plan B: Drilled a 1mm hole into both ends. That's where I'm at right now. I'll probably get a 1mm nail and put that inbetween (with some glue) rather than paperclips. Seems a bit more sturdy but won't be doing that today. I do this thing stealthily on Sundays so people don't see me walking around with waifus

JAM project is returning Well this kills hopes for a full MA arc adaption, too bad Also i like how the only animation they showed us was from the madhouse adaption I guess at least they're keeping the artstyle intact, and garou's voice actor is a good fit

A month per episode. That is stupid.

I would have thought they'd wanted to have at least come out with 12 episodes or something a while back because it seemed like it generated a whole lot of hype when it came out.

But popularity does not automatically translate into more episodes

And that's okay? Still a year for less than 24 eps. If we can get boruto and black clover upwards of 40+ eps, then a year of OPM abd 24 is reasonable.

Things like Boruto and Black Clover are entirely different stories. They fall into the category of battle shounen that are usually low cost long term projects. I mean, Boruto is basically only there to milk the franchise after Shipuden finally ended. That being said, I don't think split cours are good. I would prefer a 2-cour show over half a year. The split cour marketing is bullshit and I have voiced that before. However, I prefer getting a split cour over getting 12 episodes and then waiting maybe forever to get a continuation. Just like in between s1 and s2. At least I know what to expect.

I would have thought they'd wanted to have at least come out with 12 episodes or something a while back because it seemed like it generated a whole lot of hype when it came out. The studios animating these are usually booked for 1-2 years in advance. So even if you have a super hit and decide you want to do s2 right away that usually isn't going to happen for another 2-3 years simply because you don't have the timeslot for it (talking work here, not television). And you can't just cancel something else you agreed to do a year ago. That's supposedly what happened with Attack on Titan and why s2 was so late. They wanted to do s2 but just couldn't push it out sooner. It might also be part of the reason why the studio changed. Madhouse is not a studio that is frowned upon at all and there's a reason they're infamous for never delivering any season2's.
