Certain is a surprise to me to see that they have the balls to just randomly fuck with the source. A lot of us called it when we saw that beach picture before we knew about the rule of leaving the city. Either way, pretty stupid that they would just randomly change the source -_- I'm going to need a summary of what actually happens after the anime is over. Nothing, they are taking things into their own hands and just randomly deviating from the source as it suits them, and doing it really really badly. Oh and this episode is full of dumb HAHA WE ARE CLEVER hints. I meant on the assumption that they keep adding/changing random shit for the rest of the series to the point where the last few episodes are "lol you don't know what's going on...and neither do we!" with a final episode of "you never would have guessed this because we changed the source lololol" I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if they just deviate farther and farther to the point where they even change the ending.

Most of the ending should be unchanged seeing how they are painstakingly trying to keep it working, if there are changes it'll be some random minor shit that doesn't particularly matter because chances are that manga has done it.
I already bitched a bit about it in the irc channel, but basically it amounts to that PA Works has gotten into a pattern that they feel comfortable with. They think that it'll attract some people and keep some watching. So in order to keep the pattern and their clever little tricks they'll deviate from the source as they like. While I don't exactly care about the fact that they decide to take matters into their own hands, they are just doing it in such shit fashion as to completely ruin what the source was about. Meh, the medium change was a part of why it all came down to this, but this is just pathetic.

Re: Another 8
What would happen was obvious but I'm just confused considering the whole changing of the source. Can't wait for rant post when the series is over, getting real curious when it comes to the major differences etc.

If we are looking simply at what the changes are they aren't that major, but what they do is to deliberately change how the story ticks as to get the reaction that they wanted. Considering I really enjoyed the source precisely because of the atmosphere, seeing how they are doing it (and failing) is heartbreaking.

What are you guys watching atm, I'm in between and I feel like watching a current one and joining the conversation. edit: Apparently it's my Birth Day in TL land.

You remember that tearful farewell to Asuna and Asuna crying over the fact that all her friends are dead? Forget all those emotions. Here's time traveling! I guessed that they were gonna use it, but I didn't think they'd use it this quickly. Oh well...I'm expecting too much. This series seemed to fall apart in the past 50 or so chapters.
I'm guessing Negi likes Evangeline. If not, I hope it's Yue.

Seriously...who the hell names their kid Sai with the kanji for "wife"? I feel bad for the guy that must bear this name for life. + Show Spoiler +

Oh, this is THAT game. Gotta get on that then. Especially if it's like the Atelier games. Probably doesn't have anyone as precious as Totori though

+ Show Spoiler [Ano Natsu 08] +Well, shit hit the fan all of a sudden, and we still got 4 eps left. I wonder how things are gonna end up now. o_O
Im still rooting for KaitoxIchika btw. Kanna can go suck it.

Even though the outcome has been obvious since, what, episode 3?

For harem genre, Mashiro broke the first girl rule and that went horribly wrong. + Show Spoiler +Only uncertainty is who Tetsurou will choose. I prefer Mio's long hair but he seems to like it. I just realized Kanna is the most ignorant person in the series now that Mio confessed last ep. Space drama is unneeded and unwanted as I said last week, although I'm curious where they plan to take this. Lemon messing with everyone is as entertaining as ever and the Tamura Yukari forever 17 joke was appreciated. edit: oh wow just found out her birthday was yesterday/today. That makes the joke even better!
