ANN = http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ the suggestion is only thing I like there really, reviews are generally pretty bad. First thing I can think of is Full Metal Panic (original, Fumoffu, the second raid), a mech anime that rate very highly by almost everyone. original and TSR are main stories and Fumoffu is all about funny side stories. If you want get into some older stuff, the 08th MS team, or Gundam 0080. Those two are best early gundams IMOH and they don't requires you to watch other stuff (as compared to all the Char ones). Gundam Seed is good, Seed Destiny is NOT good (but you might want try that anyway if you enjoy Seed). Last Exile is REALLY good steam punk anime with plenty of aerial battle action. There is a sequel, but you are better off pretending it doesn't exist. Kara no Kyoukai movie you should definitely watch. They are written by Nasu Kinoko, who wrote F/SN (and Tsukihime), but Fate / Zero is written by Urobuchi Gen, who also wrote Puella Magi Madoka Magica which you might want check out (be warned his works tends to be highly disturbing, F/Z is probably the most tame of his work). KnK is made by Ufotable (same as F/Z) but with full movie budget for each. If you enjoyed Angel Beats, you might want check out Air / Kanon / Clannad and upcoming Little Buster, all of which written by Maeda Jun and in the similar style. Kanon make sure you get the 06 version by KyoAni and not the earlier Toei one If you just want try some good ones that's not really similar to the ones you listed and see anything works, Serial Experiments Lain, Dennou Coil, Noir, Gunslinger Girls, Haibane Renmei, Aria, Honey & Clover, Maria-sama ga Miteru, Gungrave, Trigun, Buccano, Cross Game, Nana, Katanagatari, Kaleido Star, Mushishi all worth check out. Thanks for the recommendations! Seen most of the gundam, waiting for the next episode of Unicorn. I'm actually leaning for Gunslinger Girls. Read the review + synopsis (is this the correct term?) and think it has good potential. Puella Magi Madoka Magica : is this the same as Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica ? When I looked it up, that's what showed in my results. I'll check the KnK movie when I can get it About the comment on ecchi : I enjoyed DxD because of the demon + good universe behind. My biggest complaint was that it was too thin. So when I asked for some recommendations, I guess I got more ecchi -.- In general, I like the theme good vs bad (cliché, yea). I LOVE it when its grey vs grey (for example, Fate : its not just good guys vs bad guys, each master has reasons to acquire the Grail. Sure Caster+master were evil, and some others maybe too Kirei+archer, but I could feel sympathy for the others, and didn't cheer for one over the others. In fact, even the guy with Berserker was likeable because he wanted to save Sakura!) Probably that something along the line of Angel vs Demon, or Good vs Bad, but enough grey in between the war would be my taste ps : Why I loved Death Note. Sure, Light was evil, but it was a "good evil", or an evil that took birth from a somewhat good idea (getting rid of criminals). Oh and second part of Death Note was really bad (the moment N made his appearance). I personally think the serie would have been better with Light winning it all but ending miserably because of power abuse that backfire. Has Darker Than Black been mentioned to you?
If you do watch it, skip the OVA:s/second season (both of which are anime original and not very good, it's watcheable though) and read the manga continuation instead.

Uhm, wasn't all of Darker than Black is anime-original? Or did I miss something and the manga actually came first.

I never knew there was a manga version of Darker than Black. I was fine with the OVA and Gemini season but it didn't meat the expectations that the first season set.

Its it gets kinda silly at the end but some of it is cool. Its just the last 7 mins or so....

Finished G-sen. It was pretty good overall. There were parts that were a bit iffy, but I really don't see where the big hate for it comes from.

I regret it every day. Oh Kipsate haha. And you should really avoid like the OVA retcon of the final episode too. It's doesn't make it better. In fact, I think it does the opposite.

Sakura and Tanada have such cute voices :D Although her role as Ayase is different from the previous two x_x So much more serious.

The settings/story can be very light-hearted, but truth is that their reality or their goal are pretty serious. Enjoyed alot! I thought a lot of aspects of the anime were great, but it was an anime with a bit of a weird plot I suppose. Although I don't think in my personal opinion that it was meant to have a serious storyline anyways. The ending was a bit iffy but okay. the rocket chair was really fucking good, left me breathless from laughing so much, strange to have something like that in there considering the overall tone of it all Sometimes I forget I post stuff in the ADT while doing nothing at work haha. But yeah that perhaps was the most funny part for me. Even though they kept repeating the same concept over and over it was really great.

Because pulling a plot twist out of your ass in a mystery without providing sufficient information beforehand is the greatest sin an author can commit.

And yeah, if you've watched Fate/Zero, play the VN, the last route is the one that ties in the most with F/Z. Accel World is okay. Its better than SAO. For example, Accel World has stuff like this: + Show Spoiler [very gif heavy] +
SAO on the other hand opens with 8 episodes of side stories where basically nothing happens.

Just finished watching Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai; it was pretty good. Had its funny moments, and a few memorable characters. The animation quality is great, and is really noticeable in the game world scenes. Nice ending, but from what I've heard, there going to make a sequel sometime. General summary: Two people meet, both of which don't have friends. One of them gets the idea to make a club to help people get friends. More characters join the club along the way and partake in a few activities.
Also, thinking of watching Durarara after seeing a cool looking amv on youtube. Anyone have any opinions on the series?
