The target audience of SAO doesn't really care about those details so they show more ass shots.

literally, ass shots. and legs. and then ass again.

Man her clothing has full crack view while standing upright. That's impressive honestly.
In other news I started watching Gintama, beginning seems a bit slow. Does it get better?

Must have as little clothes as possible to be calm and stable for accurate sniper shot. That aside, her shorts is too short it almost serves no purpose

It's 200 eps, of course it start slow. There are some really great ones, especially those spamming multiple ep, but the jokes are kinda hit or miss, with latter half more miss than hit.

Panic attacks being triggered by something else doesn't mean that the asocial personality wasn't resultant of the ostracism though.
Alternatively you can treat her like a walking ptsd and ass shot character, which would be just as accurate anyway. That might be the better thing to do.

I have no problem with her being that much into his safety. But that doesn't mean that "Eren" is like 99,9% of the content/words she has to say in the second half.

About SAOII: It saddens me to read all this stuff here about it. I just cross read it as I don't want to be spoiled (I wait until it's finished) but I think I captured the general tone. I was really looking forward to it since I liked the first arc in SAO, it was kinda cute and compelling. I read about the "fancom" of SAO before, being horrible and such. But as I don't know anything about fancoms of animes I didn't think much of it. I hoped in SAOII they would go more in depth with the backround of the characters like Asuna and not for some unnecessary dragged stuff and fanservice. Meh. I will still watch it when it finished airing, I hope you painted it too dark.

jokes aside i'm pretty sure it's not as easy as you think it is, else adaptations would probably be a lot better than source material. details are best left in a written medium imo well, no doubt it's not easy but maybe something like: as she's talking to her mom, there's a flashback so whitish border with car on some road -> topples off curve -> show car upside down with husband dying and wife staring in shock (big eyes etc...). Sinon is in the back crying. Can even stop here and assume that the viewer will realize that the mom was traumatized from back then and then, move scene to doctor's office mentioning it to reinforce (or doc first then car scene) but ya, it's not easy per se but there's an option for some fast background info.

lol: i like how when kirito sees sinnons butt hes like O_O i betta keep talking so she doesnt move and i can look at this butt crack some more rofl I reread the section from the LN on this and this is how the book explains it. 1. Sinon's mother is insane. When Shino was a baby(2years old), their family was going to her grandparents house. They were driving through a road in the mountain side when a truck driver on the opposite lane lost control of the steering and crossed the truck into their lane. Shino's car was hit through the guardrail, rolled down the side of the mountain, and hit a tree. Her father became unconscious but still alive with serious injury while her mom had a fractured left leg and shino was tightly seat belted so her injuries were minor It took 6 hours for anyone to notice the accident (they live in countryside) and during that time, her mom was forced there to look at her husband while he died of internal bleeding(wow, such torture) Her mom was never the same. It was described as "reverting her mental mentality to when she was a teenager and met her husband" as she suppressed any memory and gotten rid of any object that reminded her of her husband. And then she wanted to live like a country girl again. and she just wanted to live a peaceful life after that and she treated shino more like a little sister instead of a daughter. 2) fast forward to robbery, life was going pretty damn good. But then the man decides to push shino's mom to the ground like used goods. This pretty much destroyed her mental state and she got all tensed up and paralyzed from fear. So yada yada shino takes gun and shoots man like 5 times and there is an inordinate amount of text describing how the recoil of the gun affected Shino (dislocated her right shoulder, getting pushed back, so much pain). And then after the man died, shino looked at her mom and the man. The mom was paralyzed by fear and terror and the guy's empty eyes stared into her's. 3) so now the police came. She was interrogated and hospitalized for 3 days. There's a scene where they Were at the bank and the police tried to remove the gun from shino's hand but she couldn't let go cause her hands stiffened and she couldn't loosen them for a while(probably due to the experience just now). Anyways her mom was hospitalized for over a month. 4) so here is the the murderer part coming in. Due to voluntary restraint of the media, details were never reported. The robber was reported to the prosecutors but a trial was never held. Because it took place in a small town in the country side and that the details were leaked, they spread across the town really quickly and were blown up and overly exaggerated. In elementary school, people called her murderer. In middle school, everyone ignored her 5) just wanted to address this, Shino moved to Tokyo for highschool because her grandparent wanted her to go to a good college and marry into a good family while shino just wanted to start vocational school instead of high school and of course in Asian society, your elders always win. She wasnt bothered too much by people calling her a murderer because she was always a loner but she became scarred by the robbing event. Having people call her out or ignore her probably affected her in an indirect way that constantly reminded her of the robbing event. So now she has extreme PTSD when she sees a gun or touches a gun in real life. So Yea, just answering your question. hmm interesting, wish the anime touched more on that. I don't recall them mentioning anything about her past at all. Thanks! Well, it's an ln adaption. Not much the studio can do really. well, I meant just a scene or two showing her past when she was talking to her mom on the phone. Shouldn't take more than a min to do it. Maybe some flashback to the doctor's office when he talks about what her mom went through back then. Do you mean the studio doesn't want to include it or? Well i assume that 1) time is extremely limited. 2) There is an amount of quota that needs to be used for extraneous fanservice in hopes of selling more merchandise / source material 3) they gotta drag out the dramatic scenes so they sink in to the audience. and 4) light novels are quite long When you do shit like this hoping you can capture a whole volume in like 5 episodes, there are a ton of things that are going to be lost whether intentional or not. As for SAO, I thought the first arc was good fun though the ALO part could've used some work. Just wasn't as interesting imo. SAOII has fanservice but it's also not too bothersome. One thing I can tell you is that SAOII isn't really interested in giving any background on most characters from SAO so I wouldn't go in expecting much there lol. It's not a bad watch or anything and I'm enjoying it but that's me XD

They will go into asuna's background in the arc after GGO which is mother's rosario which is what will happen after ep 12 of SAO2 as Asuna is the main protagonist of Mother's Rosario. Then she will be relegated to supporting character again in alicization which this season will probably not cover..
I didn't paint it dark. The show is not dark at all. Sinon just has a tragic past which has never been explained in full detail in the anime so tons of anime-only watchers get confused.
|
Eh? Asuna support in Alicization? Where did you get that idea.
She is just Accelerator level main that doesn't show up for 3/4th of a story!

I also want them to expand on Mikasa. She is so badass but they really turned her into a character that only does one thing: Speaking the "Eren" line... Kind of disappointing for a character with so much potential.
Picked up Aldnoah.zero now. Finished episode 7 now. It's kinda ok. Some girls are a bit annoying. They have like life-saving positions, yet they act like helpless creeps. Slaine is pretty cool. I hope they deliver on Inaho and provide a solid answer to why he is so awesome in the end... Right now it's rather irritating. Glad you liked SnK. I only watched half of the anime but had read the manga up till about last September lol. Mikasa feel so tied to Eren at all times but guess she's that into his safety lol. AZ is good fun too. I won't say much for your last part though. He's the calculating type, possibly the 'keep emotions hidden' part too. I have no problem with her being that much into his safety. But that doesn't mean that "Eren" is like 99,9% of the content/words she has to say in the second half. AZ: I'll keep watching, we'll see. Meh. I will still watch it when it finished airing, I hope you painted it too dark. lol of course but Eren! It's not a bad watch or anything and I'm enjoying it but that's me XD
haha
Ok thanks for that. To be honest, I watched the first 3 episodes of SAOII before I decided to put it on hold until it's finished. And from that I thought that Sinon could become a rather interesting character. The introduction to the story in the first 3 episodes was kinda well done imho. That's all.^^

Well, that's sounds not too bad, thanks. And I didn't mean that the story in SAOII was actually going to be dark. I would never expect that. I don't mind dark stuff, I actually love it if done right. What I meant with "painting it dark" was the quality of SAOII story and characters.^^

That's not painting it dark, the quality was shoddy to begin with.

also this thing in SAO2 has been bugging me, when sinnon killed that robber when she was little...sure everyone would be in shock of what she had done, but her mother was looking at her like she was a monster, dont they realise that sinnon only did it out of terror and wanted to help save her mother, and she effectively saved everyone in that building even tho u would be shock afterwards wouldnt you like thank her for saving ur life, and i would rather expect her to make the newspapers and be praised something like "9 year old's quick thinking saves her mother from a robber" or something like that, instead they kinda act like she took like the gun shot the guy in the legs stompped on his face laughed and then blew his brains out.
Instead shes like totally shunned for it which idk seems super weird to me. lol: i like how when kirito sees sinnons butt hes like O_O i betta keep talking so she doesnt move and i can look at this butt crack some more rofl 4) so here is the the murderer part coming in. Due to voluntary restraint of the media, details were never reported. The robber was reported to the prosecutors but a trial was never held. In elementary school, people called her murderer. In middle school, everyone ignored her SAO world, the only place a little girl can save the lives of a bunch of people and be called a murderer by the community. Makes my brain explode. Not necessarily true. Details can be just as easily manipulated and altered here in the real world so good things can become bad and bad things can become good when viewed by a community. lol: i like how when kirito sees sinnons butt hes like O_O i betta keep talking so she doesnt move and i can look at this butt crack some more rofl I reread the section from the LN on this and this is how the book explains it. Please. SAO2 is going to be 2 cour, and its practically done already with GGO, which was 2 volumes. All thats left is a side story volume (much of which was already, retardedly, done in season 1), and Mother's Rosario, which was just one volume of pure AIDS (ha. ha. ha. Excuse the joke, God I hate this volume). So in 12 episodes, they covered 2 volumes, and now they have like 1 and half volumes left for the next cour. They have plenty of time to fit in one little flashback. Also, the novels didn't seem long to me in the least.

Consider how badly paced ep 10 and 11 were, i'm assuming it was really big oversight.
and please, shows already have a lot of trouble trying to adapt manga. An LN is gonna be even harder.
