I liked the fact that alot of people died in there and that you really never knew which person would surive, but after seeing the last 6 episodes where on average atleast 1 major character died I just became a big sad pandaT_T
i donno man i think it was like the 3rd episode when i told my brother "i think everybody's probably gonna die except akame." Whether that made the show good or bad is up for interpretation.

I thought the first death of the night raiders was only a plot device thing that wouldn't really be consistent. then every 2/3 eps somebody died and it was obvious almost all would die.
I didn't think esdeath or tatsumi would die though.
any suggestion in this gore/alot of people important dying theme?

I suggest maybe spoiler tagging that stuff just in case someone plans to watch the show that hasn't

A Certain Magical Index had some cool ideas, but ultimately I couldn't get into it due to bland characters and a pretty scattered plot

+ Show Spoiler +this was something that a lot of people complained about. It felt like they were killing people for the sake of it. I also didn't think Tatsumi would die, at least not the way he did and was pretty sad. Chelsea, Mine, Susanoo, Lubbock etc... all had pretty sad deaths imo. Too bad :/
Also, make sure you spoiler tag the post above fast before someone who wants to watching AgK reads it ;;

did you try railgun? basically everybody here likes railgun better than index. I thought they both were good in their own rights.

Same mainstory from a different point of view. The MC (Railgun) is a lot more likeable than TouMAN who's pretty much the manifestation of everything I hate in MCs... Just way too over the top righteous and cheesy while also being stupid... only good thing he did was punch a nun in the face.
That being said Railgun has it downsides as well. There are a couple of guys that actually like Kuroko but chances are high you're not going to like her voice. It's also a bit more moe-ish with inbetween episodes that boil down to girls drinking tea. In the end though, I liked Railgun a lot more just because the MC is so infinitely more likeable.

Its ok, even if he doesn't like Kuroko she is basically as annoying as Index so its a wash there. Index suffered from an excess of Touma punching speeches and a lack of Kanzaki. Misaka and the sisters are pretty awesome though and they definitely put their carry pants on. Plus I guess some people like Accelerator so if your a fan of his he has some screen time in Railgun.

I like index more than Railgun. no contest for me.
though i read the LNs so maybe the experience is considerably different if you only watch it.

Reminds me when someone here (I forget who) got mad that Index "spoiled" Railgun, despite Railgun being the spinoff.

I marathoned Casshern Sins. Overall my thoughts are pretty complicated on the show, but I would recommend it.
+ Show Spoiler +The first six episodes were absolutely perfect. The mood, atmosphere, storytelling, fighting (that fight in ep 6 was fuckin awesome) was the best I've ever experienced in the action genre. Deserving of a 9 easy, perhaps even a 10 if it continued on that well. Unfortunately it didn't, and after the sixth episode while there were still awesome episodes to lighten the blow of the weaker ones, the whole atmosphere and direction changed for the worse.
While it ended more or less how I expected it to after all that Luna stuff, and while the show was not nearly as amazing as I think it could have been, it still continued on decently enough in the episodes that weren't bad. The lame plot formula that the show resorted to had enough motion and enough twists/exciting developments to keep it watchable. The episodic episodes early on weren't bad at all either, and the only one I really disliked was the singing one. All the characters and their depth also propelled the story extremely well, especially the villians/Luna/side characters. Even the obligatory moeblob didn't overdo it :3
Why'd Lyuze/Oji have to go ;;;;;;;;; I know that that is what the story was ultimately going for regardless, but I wouldn't have minded them being saved by some miracle (what ever happened to that rock that Luna's kids/siblings gave to the group?) Their death scenes managed to be even sadder than that flower girl's. ;;;;;;;;;;; Good characters for the genre in any regard.

I only got like 5 eps into Casshern and for some reason never finished. It was a loooooooooong time ago that I watched it though. I do remember liking his entanglement with Sophita in ep 4 and how the episode ended with that traveling guy in ep 3.
|
Well I got nothing else to watch so i might check Casshern Sins.
I've watched Casshern the movie long time ago and it was interesting.

The fight scene in ep. 6 is fucking insane though, that's definitely worth watching.
Never thought I'd be telling someone how cool a fight scene in an action manga/anime was, that's weird. o.O
