yuuki yuna - magical girls with slight madoka vibe. will be worth watching more to see if its dark enough for me. interest rating: 60% surei no garanta - during humanity's last stand a mecha pilot gets transported to the long lost relic planet Earth. seems decent. interest rating: 60% shiki - mystery where it looks like a family of vampires move into a quiet country town and the townsfolk try to investigate. interest rating: 60% symphogear - magical girls. interest rating: 60% tokyo magnitude - 12 episode anime following a girl during a major earthquake disaster. interest rating: 60% wakaba girl - short episode SOL where one theme seems to be being a girly girl but not catchy enough for me. interest rating: 0% ushio to tora - slightly farcical action comedy where a firey type boy is bound to an equally firey demon. solid but probably too childish for me. interest rating: 15% rokka no yuusha - action adventure where a fire type hero and warrior princess set off to become heroes. a bit of sillyness is offputting (like he randomly stays in jail for like a year and doesn't atrophy or go insane or get rescued) but otherwise ok for now. interest rating: 60% gangsta - revolves around two "handymen" buddies. i quite liked the narrow corridors of the cityscape. interest rating: 60% charlotte - a boy uses his magic power to manipulate people, which is super cool. thought it could be like parasyte...but it suddenly turns into school style like that vampire one last season (which i stopped watching after ep2). interest rating: 60% gate - an otaku is heading to a festival in the city when suddenly a bunch of monsters appear out of nowhere. he helps the police a bit and somehow gets hired as an army lieutenant and joins the small force sent through a portal to investigate the monsters' world. nothing rings alarm bells harder for me than things not making complete sense (or being portrayed as such/being poorly represented). still willing to give it another ep tho. interest rating: 60% chaos dragon - a young whitehaired prince who doesnt like fighting and whos family has been killed and who isnt called arslan is forced to become a warrior. i was willing to entertain it until the last 10 minutes when things started getting poorly represented, which i hate and don't like giving time to. interest rating: 5% shimoneta - comedy where all lewdness is banned from the world, however our mc meets a girl who secretly is lewd and wants to bring it back to the world. didn't find this amusing whatsoever. you might. interest rating: 0% dandelion - comedy SOLish that follows a family of mostly girls who have magic powers and are closely watched on TV during their normal lives. usually i avoid stuff like this unless its loli focused as i prefer story anime. it was legit entertaining though, red girl is great. interest rating: 60% classroom crisis - errrr....follows a class of students who live in a random city on a terraformed part of mars. it looks like its going school style rather than story style so i'm in, like with many others, until my curiosity gets disappointed interest rating: 60% Aoharu x Kikanjuu - schoolgirl wants to be a hero, meets a cool guy who introduces her to games where they shoot each other with fake guns? i would say its high quality so watch it to see if you're interested, but i can tell early on its probably not my thing. interest rating: 30% Akagami no Shirayukihime - adventure where a redhaired girl meets some interesting cool type characters after running away from home. tries to do some smart things with dialogue which is great and piques my interest. interest rating: 100% dragonball super - first time i've watched it in japo and surprised at the voice goku has. in english he's portrayed as like super....(nice + earnest + manly) voice. the crazy grandmother voice was different lol. also isn't that the "god cat" boss from some db movie? i read some random db wikis a while ago and sort of remember him from a pic? yeah anyway this is pretty childish, probably not my thing interest rating: 5% as you can see i saw a ton of "this is pretty interesting and i'll watch at least 1 more ep" anime . noteably i detected a couple of things that turn me off / provide warning signs: 1 is when there are drops in quality where things are portrayed poorly or don't make sense (gate, chaos dragon, rokka) 2 is when i am looking for a story anime and instead it turns into school shit (charlotte) 3 is when lack of character depth (or i guess plot) leads to repetition (arlsan, one piece) 4 is when i detect a style that i'm familiar with but not really interested in (aoharu x kikanjuu) 5 is when something tries to be legit smart/interesting (akagami no shirayukihime) or purposefully childish (golden boy doesn't count)

Pretty sure than in general opinion Game of Laplace, Over Lord, Sore ga Seiyuu!, Gangsta (and maybe GATE, because fuck yeah military) are the shows to watch this season. @FFG. Shiki is a masterpiece, Gargantia is a trainwreck, Tokyo magnitude is "bad CG, annoying children everywhere and booooring" aka wasted potential (especially with a final twist).

But since the only FF7 I really give a shit about is actual FF7, and not any of the supplementary movies and games that followed it, Zack was just some shitter from a flashback to me, thus explaining not recognizing him. zack is pretty important really , within the context of ff7. he was aeris' boyfriend before cloud and she kind of compares cloud to him pretty much. also zack was cloud's sort of mentor/superior officer/only friend while he was in soldier (eg during the visit to nibleheim with sephy) and the person who cloud mixed up his memories with, thinking he had done some of the things he saw zack do. its a bit vague really, but comes into play when cloud and tifa are fighting to straighten up clouds identity when he has been mako poisoned. its also relevant like at the start of the game when you first meet tifa and she is a bit weirded out/confused because cloud seems to think certain things that arent true (because he muddled his identity with his memories of zack). there is always that eerie doubt in the back of tifa's mind (and it permeates to barrett and cloud himself) and you don't know what zack has to do with it during the game, but you know he has a strong presence for some reason. there is really only one thing you need to watch to find out the "essential" backstory surrounding cloud and zack, and that is the 25 min anime episode i posted the other day. it explains things sort of indirectly, showing you that cloud and zack were indeed companions , and their relationship, and what happened to zack (since we all wonder wtf happened to zack if he's not around anymore) it is 100% ff7 canon, shows hojo/zack/cloud/tifa/seph during actual ff7 events (ie events that are described within ff7). not "added backstory" stuff it really is a must-watch fucking fantastic thing. other than that, i agree, fuck the 1000 hours of other backstory about sephy and zack and the other random characters introduced lol. (altho i will play it all one day for fun / youtube watch) @ForTehDarkseid lol k i look forward to more shiki at least then. the 1 anime to watch imo so far is Akagami no Shirayukihime

i want him to fuck off he is like every time you have an mc who wants to do something dangerous and you got that guy shouting NO DONT ITS TOO DANGEROUS BLAH BLAH it like drops the probability of me enjoying the anime by at least 20% having a sidekick like that...

"except mc sidekick is like .... fuck off.... " you are right, he is the balance for the innocent/carefree mc (and even the airhead homeroom teacher). it does become tiresome after a while though with all that shouting at the end when you are just interested in mc + antagonists gleeful interaction like you got dis cool mc and cool antihero guy and then you got some guy yelling in the background spoiling everything this is why shiro + her brother turn me on so much...they both in it together

man dat OP is gr8 lmao wat at the ED, not what i expected but it's good Miia still best of the bestest, not too happy about her VA, but it's not terrible Seems in some scenes they just didn't draw the nipples at all or atleast they try to cover them up with clothing, hair or steam or whatever when possible, better than black bars i guess but still a bit disappointed Seems they're doing something like 2 chapters per episode Overall a good adaption for sure

Nice I originally read FO as fuck off. I'm so used to going straight to curse words when acronyms are around. I'm not sure if that's good or not. Edit: Happy Birthday Souma! That is a pretty good waifu list to share a birthday with.
