I doubt that Izaya is voiced by a woman.

It's watchable if also forgettable. Nothing outstanding and nothing offensive.

Lol Mirage! There are 3 Araragi's in monogatari. Most(all?) of the girls call Koyomi Araragi-san so people just tend to call him araragi too. Whenever you read someone talking about Araragi in Monogatari it's a safe bet they talking about the older brother who is the MC(mostly) and not any of the sisters.
edit: Why when I google Koyomi Araragi I get Kanbaru's wiki link as 2nd link. Shit man have I searched too much Kanbaru.

See. I told you. Kanbaru is more aggressive than you think.

I only realized a few days ago while watching New Getter robo how many characters Takehito Koyasu has done VA work for. What a guy.
as of December 2008, Koyasu is the most prolific seiyū in Japan with voice acting roles in 365 anime series. Which surprises me because i typically recognize VAs easily and i've heard a ton of his work but it wasn't until i heard him as Seimei in getter robo that i realized that "Hey that sounds like Dio" and then i looked him up.
Also i finished new getter robo, what a final episode. That was an absolutely amazing way to end a series, kept turning things up a notch until it peaked and the series ended.

So I decided to watch some early works from Miyazaki. Started with Horus: Prince of the Sun today and to be honest it was kind of painful to watch. + Show Spoiler +Overall this had a pretty disney'ish feel to it. With all the singing and dancing, story flow, characters etc. The story-telling felt really rugged, as if he had a list of plot points and threw them at the viewer one after another. The dialouge was mostly cringe-worthy. As for the production itself I thought the art was fine. Soundtrack was uninspired and generic but served it's purpose. Sound effects were pretty cringe-worthy, especially the sword contacts in the final fight sounded like cheap light-sabers. The animation was mostly really good but also irritating at times. 30 minutes in or so it went from smooth action animation with some pretty cool sakuga stuff to literally being a slide show when the wolves attacked the village. Sometime later the animation took a dump here and there and looked really sluggish for no reason. Pretty weird considering Miyazaki was the Key Animator. It felt like he hadn't enough time to do the whole thing well and ended up with a few sluggish scenes and 2 events that just showed still pictures.
Next in line is Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro. I think I will do that tomorrow or on weekend. I hope I don't need to watch the Lupin series before that. Although if I remember correctly, someone here mentioned that the Lupin franchise isn't a continuous story so I can jump in whereever I want?

The Castle of Cagliostro is hilarious, especially when watching with friends. You get a good sense of Miyazaki's humor, it's one of my favorite Miyazaki movies despite its age.

Good to hear some positive words about it!
In other news, I watched the first episode of Perfect Insider that was just released. + Show Spoiler +This looks good. Good direction so far. I don't really like MC girl yet but that might change over time. She is the overly-jealous type but at least she has the right disposition to be likeable later on. At least she seems intelligent and observant when it comes to human behavior so there is a chance for her to change. Sohei is already likeable.
Not much known about the mystery yet but it seems like that it's going to be one long one instead of many small cases. Depending on how the show develops in the next 1-2 episodes I might put it on hold until it finishes to binge-watch and enjoy it more then.
//OMFG the new Osomatsu-san is freaking gold. First episode already parodied like 15 different animes and tons of clichés. xD Honestly I can't bring this into words that do it justice, just watch... The preview for next episode also gave me the sudden incentive to watch Haruhi. It's called The Melancholy of Osomatsu. If it is what I think it is then I need to hurry the fuck up.

Gakuen is out toad. TOADDD TAODDDDDDDD

Perfect Insider indeed was one of the best episode 1 so far in this season. Many interesting characters that have unique looks and the direction of plot so far looks interesting too. Even though I'm not really a big fan of mystery shows.
Gakuen was decent, though pretty generic. But I don't care about that, as long as it entertains me. ^^

Does this season suck or have I missed something. What shall I say? It seems like every season I like is universally hated by TLADT and every season I dislike is universally liked by TLADT. For me, Fall 2015 had the strongest start out of all seasons this year.
This season does feel weak. I know I am can be picky when it comes to shows (and probably, I should give every show a try before judging them...). When I was quickly looking at the shows on Anichart, none really caught my attention (except for Gundam, and Owari no Seraph #2). This is generally a bad sign (for me). In comparison, Summer was great for me!
Dropped : Aquarion Chaos Dragon Gangsta (was an enjoyable ride...) Ranpo Laplace
Average : Charlotte (started good, trainwreck for me) Kekkai Sensen + Arslan from last season... Both have their merits but became average due to reasons.
unsure : God Eater : It will end, at some point... but let's say I am not impressed so far.
Great: Gakkou Gurashi Gate Rokka Overlord
Discounting Kekkai + Arlsna, I really enjoyed 4 shows, 2 shows were average, and dropped 4 shows.
As for Fall 2015... you can see that there are less shows that have caught my interest, so for me, its definitely weaker than Summer (because quantity).
Undecided : Comet Lucifer Heavy Object (refer to my complaints a few pages ago)
Dropped : Lance n Masques
Keeping (as long as the show maintain its quality) Gundam Orphans (Gundam aww yiss Owarimonotagari (That first episode sold me... I've downloaded the other series and am planning to watch them)
There are still other shows I might give a try (and feel free to give your suggestions ). So far, I've shied away from anything associated with the term ECCHI on Anichat.net. Unsure if I am going to pick Owari season 2 or not...

Lance n Masques EP 2 was far better than I expected. I honestly expected to drop it after it, but I'll keep watching it for now.

It does have plenty of fan service lol. Dressed up and "artsy" fan service but its there in fair quantities.

The Monogatari series is extremely fan-service oriented. Why do you think anyone actually watches it?

:cough: There is nothing remotely lewd in any of the Monogatari shows.
At all.
:cough:
Lance and Masques started to give me a bit of a Hayate the Combat Butler vibe - although the circumstances are not the same, remotely.
