I find it interesting how different cultures go through mourning. I don't know if I could handle having a constant reminder every day when I lost my grandfather a few years back.

Anyways, dropped Brave Witches and Show by Rock now. Both are some of the worst shit I have watched in my life. They were part of a list a friend of mine and me are watching as a challenge but we decided to kick those two. Couldn't even bear them when watching them together, that's something new...

Anyways, there are worse offenders in this show. Dropped. ... irony in misspelling pretend...

As expected, the highlights were the music and the fights. Both were pretty good. The story came off as being rather cheesy, and its trajectory was pretty obvious from the start. They also had some Earth stuff at the start and end of the movie. I assume it's intended to remind us of what the Yamato's mission is in the first place, but overall, it felt kinda awkward, because there's no direct connection to the events of the movie. The new character sucked. It's a real shame too, because she had some interesting potential. She's supposed to be a science officer who specializes in alien languages. However, they don't actually explore the process with which she learns or deciphers things. For whatever reason, the Gatlantian language can already be understood, and she already knows whatever ancient writing it is they find in the movie. In the end, she's just used to regurgitate information and forward the plot. They also tried way too hard to make her moe. Some returning characters really got shafted for screentime, but that's expected, considering the size of the cast. There were some scenes that felt incredibly pointless though, to the point that I think they exist just to say "hey this character still exists".

Washio sumi was just elementary school girls suffering half the time, don't know if my heart can take that . Cried reading it last time and that part when the little tomboy girl in yuyuyu goes berserk mantais was too real man.

I only watched Chihayafuru which could be considered similar and while they wouldn't show the whole game they would show the important parts, in betweens and most importantly you always had an idea of what was going on and who was ahead. The first game in All Out was nothing like that. Mostly talking, flashbacks and inner thoughts. Only a handful of plays. If the whole show is like this it will be pretty terrible. sounds like battery. They only showed several small bits of two games -_-

Never watched All out but some sports shows don't really show much of the game. Cross Game is another that while their is a large baseball focus they don't really show the games much aside from one or two moments. I'm not really sure why you watching All Out instead of Haikyuu though.

Haikyuu is also AOTS for sure Edit: Kyoani is going to be adapting the Dragon Maid manga? Eh, not sure how i feel about that, the series is ok but nothing really special. It's just a series full of yuribait. More kyoani yuribaiting for you, Numy. Whatever, gonna watch it for the cute dragon maid and to watch kyoani animate monster girls. Sometimes kyoani changes things up so maybe they'll improve it. Or maybe they'll make it worse.

But I thought I should give something a try and then All Out started airing and I thought rugby might be interesting. //I'm also a bit concerned about Haikyuu being good because it reaches high levels of hype over on MAL which is often an indicator of mediocrity these days....

Likable characters, uses a lot of time on the sport, matches are exciting, soundtrack and animation are good, no real asspulls or idiotic over the top things. It's just good, fun and enjoyable. it also manages to always have some top tier openings + Show Spoiler + + it helps for me that it's a sport i think is pretty fun to begin with, couldn't watch a sports anime if i didn't like the sport tbh
