I want to have faith in Hiroe but Re:creators has been underwhelming so far, why did they even bother with 2 cours when every single episode so far only had 10 minutes worth of content. Gonna give it a few more episodes until all the characters are introduced before deciding wether I should drop it or not.
SnB: Genesis had a generic story but the characters made up for it so I'm glad most of them are back for VS. The writing, although nothing groundbreaking, is a step up from genesis in terms of worldbuilding and creativity and the show is also much less predictable. I'm interested to see where the story is heading, bless whoever managed to give VS 24 episodes.
Still on the fence about SukaSuka, the reception from source readers has been positive so far so I might give it a shot if it keeps up the quality.
Oh and fuck Takayama Katsuhiko

Warau Salesman New Quan Zhi Gao Shou Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho BNHA DBS LWA
Those are the ones I'm into this season. Although Warau might get dropped after this episode (just really fucked up what the MC does to people) And Zero might get axed as well. Quan is good, and the last 3 are a given (though DBS is starting to irk me)

Î agree with Spazer on Bahamut and Uchouten. Those are the only ones I'm watching from this season. +LWA from last season.

Boku No Hero Academia. I like the action in it but don't particularly like the characters...
|
I love both the characters, setting and action
It is by far my favourite manga at the moment and the anime isn't letting me down either I think the only 'problem' i have with the anime is that it is painfully obviously aimed at the shounen audience (well, obviously since it's a shounen manga) so the 1 minute recap at the start of each episode is a bit meh but it's a small price to pay for a high quality adaption

I'm watching a lot so I'm not gonna list them all but my favs so far are uchouten, and sukasuka shows I like but not fav: Quan Zhi Gao Shou: is fun. I need more female characters tho. please introduce back mu Cheng and put more Xiao tang Tsuki ga Kirei: I love all the line chats and sudden confession in ep3! Re:Creators: I like how it's going slow and introducing the characters and not just mindless explosions/fights everywhere and I enjoy the mystery in the show on who gunpuku is. MC is just an observer here so he doesn't bother me. Saekano: constant dialogue throughout a whole ep is something I enjoy. also Kato and Utaha are the best. Just need to wait for them to introduce iori then delicious drama will start Zero: WAGAHAI. I enjoy the chemistry between zero and the mercenary. eromanga: the cutest. On the chopping block: SnK, I've read all of this. I don't think this can really hold my attention and I don't have a good opinion on the upcoming plot in the anime. Shingeki no bahamut: I didn't really like the 1st season that much and this pretty much brings back everything in the first season. idk but I'll give it a few more eps.
only thing I dropped so far is Clockwork Planet: bad art and rushed plot. according to Neo, misses a lot of characterization.
I'm kind of behind on sagrada and Alice unfortunately but hopefully I can catch up on them
edit: oh I also dropped sakura quest.

Clockwork is indeed a poor adaptation.
Sword Oratoria seems to have forgotten who it's protagonist was in episode 2. No idea why they wasted the episode on what they did.
LWA is heating up so I am happy
SukaSuka has been good so far
Eromanga is OK with some good moments
Zero I dunno yet but seems at least solid
Rinne season 3 is solid as ever
Tsugumomo is sometimes good sometimes meh
Akastic Records is good fun
Not sure why I am watching Machiavellism

Since I'm doing deito nights with the two above me, I guess I'll rank the series we're watching this season:
Sukasuka: the art is pure sex, everything about Sukasuka looks beautiful. Story is interesting enough that I look forward to it weekly. It's one of the few times I've gone into an animu adaptation blind. Such foreboding and uneasiness though
Akashic Records: This is adapted from a manga and for the most part, it's doing a decent job. Ice enjoys the details of magic in the AR world (a la Mahouka), I'm just waiting for more best grill granny screen time.
Eromanga: Are you a siscon? Do you like imoutos? Then this is a show for you.
Zero: WAHAGAI. SoL adventures of fur daddy and little cute mage.
Sword Oratoria: I like how an Aiz spinoff turns out to be not much about Aiz the animu. /r/anime was right to pitchfork the last episode.
Saekano: Utaha is great but not even she can salvage this show. zz
I'll mention Clockwork Planet because the LNs are great but the animu is amagadterribad. I'll prob end up finishing the show at some point but currently, I'm not watching every episode as they're released. rip

Alice and Zouroku: Sana and Sanae and pigs are qt af
Eromanga-sensei: annoying characters, but art and animation is decent, ED is kind of catchy :|
Granblue Fantasy: Touyama Nao is qt af, art and animation is great.
Natsume: nyanko sensei~
Re:Creators: It's.... interesting?
SaeKano: Megumi and Utaha are hawt.
Sakura Quest: moar qt pink aoi.
Sakurada Reset: Wasn't really paying attention during first 2 ep, so end of ep2 kind of caught me off guard. If it wasn't for that, probably would've dropped it, but will continue watching 2 robots talk.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Will continue so I can keep telling others that it's overrated
SukaSuka: Witch hat girl is qt.
Tsugumomo: Lacking a lot of the sex and lewdness I was promised so far.
Tsuki ga Kirei: HOLY FUCK I JUST GOT DIABETES FROM EP 3. My heart can't handle all this HNNNG. Also, this show makes me want to use LINE more.
Dropped: Clockwork - first ep wasn't really that enticing Shingeki no Bahamut - season 1 started off good, but I kind of got bored of it near the end. Was barely able to finish it since it was only 12 ep. Season 2 being 24 ep, I would not be able to grind through it.

Okay, well, everyone else is doing it so why shouldn't I?
Eccentric Family 2 - Yay Tanuki and Benten. Alice & Zoroku - Cute but surprised Zoroku hasn't had a stroke from the throbbing forehead vein. Tsugumomo - This is about in my zone. Akashic Records of Bastard Magical Instructor - Okay, yes, this is good too. I can suspend disbelief on all of the female school uniforms. SukaSuka (yeah, I'm not typing that long title) - Interesting, wonder how it'll go Sakura Quest - It's a P.A. Works SoL about four cute girls. Yes I'm watching it. Tuskigakirei - I don't know if LINE is really that amazing. Kindof slow, but much high school romance. Clockwork Planet - Okay, the plot isn't great but I'll probably finish this. Love Tyrant - Complete and utter trash and I will keep watching it and giggling. Hinako Note - The premise so far is a little hard to go along with but moe blobs. KADO - I think someone forgot to tell Toei this isn't a movie. The CG takes some getting used to, and the pacing is slow AF. Then you have random silly character (physics-chan) that seems out of place. But premise is enough to keep watching. Eromanga Sensei - Sagiri, Sagiri, Sagiri. Also, Sagiri dancing and happy is the most qt thing ever. You're monsters if you don't like it. Re:Creators - I've seen this premise before, and it probably will not go anywhere too strange. But the hints on MC and his sister/Military Girl are enough to keep me interested. Sword Oratoria - You all thought it was going to be Aiz, but instead it's about an elf girl's yuri crush. HAH. When's the next episode? Saekano Flat - The girls are still great. More references to other works and in-jokes. The Amazon subs kill me, though. Still, so far this season has been awfully Utaha focused. Needs more Michiru.
Now I'm going to go watch the Hibike! Season 2 specials.

All the stuff they showed was in the source materials....just like why dedicate an episode to it is my question. Sure its in there but its not a big part and I am sure they could have shortened the "Lets cheer up Aiz" shopping and worst elf's thoughts. They cut Aiz's inner thoughts for that....The series is all about giving insight into Aiz and how she thinks and develops and they are glossing it over. Take the scene at the bar where Bell runs out in shame, they didn't go into how Aiz really felt about Bete's rant or what happened to him right after....just cut to next scene --;;
In other news the Yona manga continues to shine. Great series.

I'm kind of disappointed by this season. Don't have anywhere close to as much that I'd be willing to watch as last season. Sure SaeKano is based, SukaSuka+DanMachi+EroManga are all good, clean fun but SukaSuka is the only one that really stands out from those 3.
|
What exactly is there to watch in last season other than all the moe slice of life stuff?
I was looking forward to watching stuff from last season once the season ends, but there is legit nothing I actually want to watch now that I look at the roster.
This one seems much more promising.
Also you should watch akashic records if you haven't. Much better than any one of the 3 you mentioned imo.

How did you not pick any of the other good non-sequel series this season. Alice? Tsuki ga kirei? Re:creators? Zero kara?
Actually I don't know your taste so I don't know what you are looking for.

last season had KonoSuba, DragonMaid, Kuzu no honkai, leftovers from 3gatsu, Gabriel Dropout. And for me they're all easily more enjoyable than the last 3 I mentioned for this season with only SaeKano standing a chance vs some of those.

It's not a total loss, and bakabt was pretty much only convenient if you were looking for older obscure shows
at the very least most of the regulars here won't need it Idk. Bakabt is my go-to for any show that is not airing at that exact time It's really not that much more convenient to just search up nyaa or go to a sub group's irc and download via XDCC.

True about KonoSuba and KnH. everything else other than 3gatsu is not my cup of tea, but I guess I should give 3gatsu a try.
what is XDCC?

XDCC is how you download animu via irc HS has a nice explanation but it's basicly the same for all groups:
+ Show Spoiler [large pic] +
TL downscales the image a bit, so rightclick and open in new tab if that's an issue
