I think I got the general gist, but the reaction to the cherry blossoms only made sense with the backround information the director gave me upfront, which isn't speaking for the adaption. The story with the girl also didn't really connect to the issue imho. It created a haunting drama as a parallel to the cherry blossoms but it felt weirdly disconnected and random. I had to look up and was surprised to see Miragee writing this. I was almost sure that it was Toad lol.

Miragee saying that just means it's sarcasm.

The third arc of Aoi Bungaku was very good again. I wish they would have spent a little more time on this to go more in depth/add a few more character interactions. One more episode probably would have been perfect.

Has anyone here actually kept up with it? I made that post midseason when I said something along the lines of "too bad I missed out on it" and went out of my way to check it out after all. I did like it the first couple episodes, especially the first one was nice but ever since ep5 or 6 it's been a drag for me. I wasn't sure if I could finish an entire season of it but two? That's really hurting my motivation to get back into it somehow
For this sort of show, if you watched 7 episodes and didn't like it's fairly safe to say that the remaining episodes won't change that. I haven't watched the series though myself, so keep that in mind.

Sakura Quest is basically an anime about a group of girls working on a project which seems to take quite a while until it works. So they use that to (more intensively) introduce each of the different girls with 2 or so episodes each, showing their strengths and weaknesses and the group is growing more close by each episode. So yeah, if you don't like a mix of Slice of Life, Drama and some Comedy and/or don't like the characters, don't bother. It's definitely are pretty slow anime if you just wanna see how the project ends.

I know I made it up to the woodcrafting episodes and finished that but never really felt like watching more after that

+ Show Spoiler +Next episode is gonna be interesting. Will he fail or not... I kinda agree with the sister of Akane in that she pulls him with her and who knows if they stay a couple. But to be honest it's probably not bad for the MC regardless, without this he wouldn't have studied much.

I think hes on a mission to mess with me, knowing full well I have zero interest in saekano, eromanga might give it a try after following the source a bit.

Last episode of Alice to Zouroku was really good. Nice way to end the whole thing imo

Uchouten s2 is over and I can't help but say that I'm stunned. It made me smile, it made me laugh, it made me feel sad, happy, comfortable or awe - sometimes switching from one to the other in a matter of seconds. Everything from the characters to the story-writing to the soundtrack to the animation was quirky and eccentric. It felt always fresh and would always bring something new to surprise me but I never felt they pulled anything out of their ass. Everything was well set-up and fitting. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this anime, it doesn't get much better than this. 9/10 and serious AotY contender. It will be hard for any show to beat that for me.
As for the final episode:
+ Show Spoiler +The fight between the Nidaime and Benten had some cool action and sakuga. I also loved how it ended, with both of them crying because they lost their most precious value in their lives: Nidaime lost all his collected belongings and Benten lost some of her self-esteem. The last scene with Kaisei and Yasaburo and later the grandma was just adorable. Finally they made up their mind. What a great way to end the series.

The only mission I'm on is the mission from god (and no, not Katou-god Toad).

you know, recently I felt that Eromanga-sensei deserved all the shit it's getting. It's a trashy show that tried to be funny in a cringy way but the most recent episodes weren't even that for me. BUT that last episode REALLY had me laughing. If all of those episodes had been that good I could go ahead and praise it non-sarcastically but as it stands it had a pretty funny start, a hilarious last episode and "omg I'm dying" in the middle. And "the middle" makes up for most of it.
It didn't help that the only good girls (editor, bookshop parttimer, muramasa) either weren't characters to begin with (that's #1 and #2) or only happened to be good because of voicetrap (that's #3)

I dropped eromanga around episode 5 I think, don't remember anymore. The jokes felt a bit repetitive and not many of the characters had redeemable features imo.
