Day9 placed first in the WCG Pan-American Championship 2007, which is mostly likely what's ment. Shame on both of you.

Simple connection EDIT: Shame on you indeed. No that's incorrect. World Cyber Games is the name of the company as well as the name of the event that they run each year, for a number of games. But WCG (the company) also created a regional tournament for the Americas, Europe, and Asia that only invites players from those regions. For example if you look at the WCG Pan-American championship for year 2009 (just check the links from WCG's official website), they list the countries that participate. Quoting from their site: Participating Countries : 13 countries including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, USA, Venezuela Same thing for Europe and Asia. So in fact Day 9 was not the world champion. Regardless of that error its pretty amazing news. Artillery CEO Ankur Pansari called Plott's involvement with the company "a huge sign of validation" and said via a website announcement that Plott would be bringing "superior insight" to the Artillery team as its new Head of Games. HEAD OF GAMES! Looks like Day 9 got a real job . I wonder what this means for his dailies?

So in fact Day 9 was not the world champion. Of course it's incorrect lol, if it would really be the world championship it wouldn't be called "pan-american", but the point was that that was the obvious connection between the article and day9's tournament victories, or rather the obvious mistake. Which is why I wrote: Day9 placed first in the WCG Pan-American Championship 2007, which is most likely what's ment. and Simple connection I don't think anybody here thought that day9 was the worldchampion of broodwar once, I made fun of Yonnua because he focussed on the Pan-American part, instead of the WCG where the mistake is obviously coming from. EDIT: I actually thought about making a joke about day9 being the only zerg in the ro8 back then and taking it but I couldn't come up with anything when I wrote the original post :/ EDIT2: I'm still kinda baffled that you actually pointed out that day9 wasn't the king of games once when one of us actually pointed exactly that out passive aggressively like 2 posts before, I think that just made my morning, lol.
