Unfortunately, being a dick is a huge hindrance in the real world. Not to hate, but (e)sports is probably one of the few businesses that allow inviduals to act like Idra has.

You completely misunderstood my post. I meant that sports and e-sports ( hence the parenthesis on e) is one of the only businesses that might allow this.
At least read and understand the post you are responding to

I'm so bummed that Greg and EG parted ways, I hope he finds everything he's looking for and realises how much love the community still has for him.

Ill miss EG being next to Idra. Hope you keep playing Idra.

Just because he rages in Starcraft games doesn't mean he'll tell his professor in the future to fuck off or letting his future boss Know he's a faggot. It's been said that Greg is actually a calm and chill person in real life

Obviously I have no idea how he acts when not playing and he might be really chill guy. However his recent antics have sort of an antisocial vibe on them. Particularly the Demuslim issue.

Completely false haha Being a dick gets you soooo far in life actually, it's generally the opposite of what you're saying. Nice guys always finish last. I'm doing great in my job right out of school mostly acting like a dick/cocky/arrogant/whatever you wanna call it. It's the reality of the world, especially in places where you don't have to please self-entitled fans. Idra will do great in whatever he chooses to do next tbh, his motivation and will to improve when he's invested in something is rare.

I am sure being a kind of a dick might serve you well. Dick as in being self-centered/more "ruthless"/"cold"/efficiency over empathy kind of guy. Being childish, unmannered and generally refusing to see your own faults and improve however wont. Lack of social skills might be more what I am getting at. And that is a real hindrance at almost any occupation.
'EDIT: As for Idras will to improve. I haven't seen that in him a long time. (blaming game design/balance for losses, giving up etc)

Fair enough, I have no knowledge of that. I was merely speculating on the impression I got from his online "character" if you will.

If you are doing great in your job it's because you are working hard and doing what needs to be done. That's great that you are confident, but your success has nothing to do with being a dick/cocky/arrogant/whatever. Lol, the two aren't exclusive...but good luck acting like a dick.
I'm pretty sure Idra will get picked up somewhere if he still wants to play and can get his mind right...Or switch to LOL (haha JK).

Idra will be fine. If he ignores this poisonous community and listens to the good people around him then I'm not worried about it.

That blows, I hope Idra stays strong and comes back swinging!
P.S. Screw EG management.

him insta leaving everytime he met demuslim on ladder

Really hope Greg keeps going and comes back stronger. SC2 just isn't half as interesting when IdrA isn't involved.
|
I've been thinking about this a lot today. IdrA was the guy who really got me into SC, got me into watching competitive SC, who inspired me to play zerg, because of IdrA I would stay up till 3-4AM watching tournaments he played in or his stream.
I love the guy as much as a fan could love their favourite player, but he needed this wake up call. Hopefully he comes back better than ever and becomes an amazing player again or even an amazing caster. I definitely don't want to see him leave at all, that'll break my heart.
