Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated the club over the lat couple weeks, Christmas stuff you know. On that note, I have a bone to pick with HuK.
God damnit HuK.
So my best friend Calvin is the nicest guy in the world but he's always had terrible luck. whenever somethings going well for him something unlucky gets in the way like his mom getting injured in a broken elevator and him needing to take care of her, or he gets mono soon as he starts university, all kinds of stuff like that. Recently he's spent the last two months working construction in Ottawa partly to raise enough money to buy an engagement ring for his girlfriend. Or, I should say fiancé I guess as his company flew her out to Toronto from our home town of Calgary to meet him on Monday. So he proposes to his GF, she says yes, and they have a magical Christmas with Calvin's family in Toronto.
Then today Calvin's FB status says he's exploring Toronto with his girlfriend, so I jokingly suggest he check out that show match and signing thing that his hero HuK was doing. His girlfriend is awesome enough to agree to this epicness, and they there and guess what?
HuK's awesome and they get pictures with him and they have another magical fantastic night for like the sixth time this week.
Not to MENTION that Calvin is actually playing me this week in our fantasy hockey league and is up 19 points.
I mean suuuure, HuK helped make this best week in my friends life even better, and it couldn't happen to a more deserving guy. But now whenever I have a conversation with the guy I end up doing this:
HuK's awesome and my best friend is having the best week of his life and it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Thanks HuK for adding to the epicness going on over there
his compliments of the game play state is dead on. the game is in great shape. his critique of casting issues is dead bang on the money.
i'm sick of hearing stupid jokes. i want insights... when i want a comedy show i'll watch a Seinfeld episode.
these "charismatic" caster guys who think they can just babble away and tell nonstop jokes are fooling themselves. they are lousy comedians.
my theory is that certain famous casters are getting bored and moving on, but still want to pull in a pay cheque. their boredom shows in their posture, intonation and energy level. because they are bored they know little about the deepest nuances of the game and are not willing to put the enormous amount of energy into the game to learn these things.
